A comfortable poly with good power
I string my own and like to experiment with strings. The reviews I've watched on YouTube are mostly positive, so Head Hawk Power was one that I wanted to try.I'm using a Dunlop CX200 OS racquet that has been weighted up to 12.4oz, most of the weight added to the handle with a leather grip and tungsten puddy. My first string job was @ 50lbs mains and 48lbs crosses. The comfort level was outstanding, but I found that some of my shots were going a bit long. I also like a little more feedback, so I restrung at 54lbs for both mains and crosses. This was the sweet spot for me. I only hit with it once so far at this tension, so it remains to be seen how it will last. So far a 5 star string!9/6/23 update: I still think this is a great string, but for me it seems to go dead after only about 7 sessions. In comparison the Head Lynx Tour lasts about twice as long.

Good string
My son is a high-performance tennis player and this is one of the strings that he’s chosen to use. He hits a very hard ball and likes how this string reacts.

Clone of ALU Power, but softer (pros & cons)
I expected this to be a powerful string due to the name. It is not, and Tennis Warehouse's technical testing confirms that it is a fairly low-powered string. Instead, it is a round control string that plays similar to ALU Power. As compared to ALU power, it is slightly lower power, slightly less control, slightly more ball pocketing, moderately less stiff, and more duration until it goes dead. It's quite a bit worse on tension maintenance (like many soft strings). These factors could lead you to swing with more speed and spin, or less, depending on your mechanics. To me, it's nothing special -- it's sort of in between many other strings. In Head's line, I'd say that Lynx is far superior (at least as a main) for spin and power, and Hawk is far superior as a cross or full bed unless arm comfort is your key consideration.

These are solid soft poly strings for the price.
