Does it always hace to be plugged in to work

We got it to float with no power on, we then plugged it in and it stopped working, work that one out. Had to send it back!

What size is the globe

DOUBLE THE SIZE OF A TENNIS BALL

Does the globe rotate in conjunction with the rotation of the earth

In short NO, it hovers due to theagnetic field and spins if you physically spin it your self but will stop after a time it doesn't keep spinning. It's also smaller than expected but still looks nice.
