Q: What concentration is the Ethanol? It just says denatured alcohol. Found the MSDS. It's: Ethanol - 90-100% Methanol - <10% Methyl Isobutyl Ketone - <10% Acetic Acid - <5%

I went to the website as advised by Gahl for Klean Strip Green and found the SDS (although dated 2018) and found the following: Ethyl alcohol 80.0 -100.0 %; Methanol 3.0 -7.0 %; Acetic acid, ethyl ester {Ethyl acetate} 1.0 -5.0 %; Methyl isobutyl ketone 0.1 -1.0 %: Heptane 0.1 -1.0 %. I have a hard time seeing this as "green" when it has 2% petroleum distillate which is toxic for the environment. I was hoping to dilute and use as hand sanitizer but the acetic acid and petroleum distillate are things I wouldn't want on my hands, fumes could be carcinogenic and petroleum distillates can pass through the skin.

Q: is recommended for use with shellac flackes

Works very well for dissolving shellac flakes.

Q: If I wanted to use this fuel for a camping stove, what would be the best container for carrying the fuel in a pack?

ADDED HERE FOR SAFETY "DENATURED" is just some "Everclear" drinking alcohol with poison in it to make it "undrinkable" ! ! ! Got it ? ? ? ? It doesn't matter the percent or ratio so MANY product concoctions can be labelled "DENATURED ALCOHOL". (see Tardigrades answer) This product is a VERY high percentage of Ethanol (Everclear liquor) but it MUST have the poisonous Methanol / Keytones added to avoid paying 300% more due to liquor taxes. A Liter of Everclear 95% Ethanol will cost 3 to 4 times as much. The "Keytones" and "Acetic Acid" in THIS product add an odor so it smells like a nasty chemical you don't want to drink. That's a big PLUS ! ! ! You can tell right away what you have. They may also assist in painting uses. Ethanol and Methanol have almost no odor and actually smell similar. You can mix a cocktail will Ethanol. Just 10 mililiters ( 1/3 of an ounce ) of Methanol will destroy your eye sight and a bit more will kill you . . . it is classified a "poison". GEEE . . . with this stuff you have to drink 3.3 ounces to go blind if it's 10% Methanol (and don't forget the Keytones) Yellow Heet, for cars, is 99% Methanol and looks and smells no different than 95% Ethanol (Everclear liquor). THAT scares the hell out of me. EXPLAINATION: I say all of this because many people use this "paint thinner" for their alcohol burning camp stoves for cooking and some also use Everclear Liquor or both. I use this Klean-Strip Green to practice with my alcohol cooking stove cause it's cheap and performs like Everclear. BUT . . . . I take Everclear Liquor when backpacking cause it is far safer and has multiple uses. NOW . . . all of you can argue about what makes a better paint thinner etc . . . . but please know now that "Denatured" means nothing more than "some Ethanol plus other stuff" ! ! !
