It definitely holds the batteries
Not bad. They could redesign a little bit to mount right onto the radio better but other than that very well-made.

Fun, functional and affordable!
Fun radio, kind of quirky but fun to play with! I've made some contacts on both SSB and CW with this rig and I even got the 13 Colonies bonus station in France with it from my lawn! You're going to definitely want an antenna that is tuned for the band you want to work and you'll also want to get a little tuner for it (look for a manual adjusting Z-match tuner for QRP radios). With the latest firmware, these rigs can be set up for audio via USB which is great for FT8, JS8, Winlink and other digital modes. Apparently you can connect them to a computer for digital modes with a DigiRig as well, but I haven't perfected that yet. These seem to run forever on 3, 18650 batteries and take up hardly any space, so they're great to travel, hike, camp, etc. with.
