Was what it is
Not sure how to rate this. It is what it says it was and it fit perfect in the camera. I am bummed however because I bought the new battery thinking that I needed a new one because even after charging the battery would die after only a few pictures.I ordered the battery and it does the same thing which tells me its something wrong with the camera, not the battery. This is not a bad thing about the camera however. I have been using the Olympus cameras since they first came out with the water proof point and shoots. I now own four of them and the one this battery was for was 7 years old.I have tried a few different waterproof cameras and use them for that frequently (mainly for fishing) and the olypusus hold up better than any other. The Fuji (Costco special) was junk, and the first generation of the Nikon one leaked the first time I put it under water. I now have the Olympus stylus tough 1090 and have been looing to upgrade to the newest style. The camera this battery is for I handed down to my wife and she has been using it for 4 years with out issue until this battery thing came up last fall.Didnt mean for this to turn into a Olympus rating, but matbe someone will find it helpful. The only waterproof I havent used or bought is the Canon point and shoot one.

Best Li-40's I have
Best Li-40's I have used, except possibly the original Olympus one that sells for way more. That is a real compliment from me... I despise Li-40's and similar batteries. They have no capacity compared to standard AA or AAA batteries, require special chargers, and are very expensive (especially per mAh). When I carry my Olympus Tough-3000, if I intend to take many pictures, I must carry a pocketful of batteries (with total purchase cost more than the camera!). I think I usually run around 100 pics/battery max for a good battery. If I use flash, I find that the limit is so low it is ridiculous. (Mold Canon using 4AA's with take around 1000 per charge, even with flash.)End of diatribe...Given that I hate the battery type, etc., these are the best I have used. I now have several types, including Olympus. The ones that worked best were the Olympus, but they have all pretty much died now. I have been using these for many months and they cost a fraction of the Olympus one and have held up well so far. I am very happy with them.

Buy this one not the aftermarket versions
Seems to have a great capacity and hold its charge for a long time between uses. if you need to upgrade the firmware of your camera be prepared to spend a little time doing it. You will also need to have an empty, formatted SD card ready. It was a straightforward process and definitely worth the effort. I now have a strong battery for my upcoming paid portraits. Could be five stars but I haven't had time to test the capacity yet.

Camera Battery
This is the second time I replace batteries in my camera which I have had for about 6 years. It is hard to rate the battery I purchased as they are still new and hold their charge well. The proof in the pudding will come later this year to see if they still hold their charge over extended use. Service from the supplier was very good.

Replacement battery
This battery works as well as the OEM ones but is considerably less expensive. I would buy it again if neededA quick update on this battery:The battery died rather quickly and would not hold a charge for more than a few shots so I contacted the seller since there is a one year warranty. I was not very hopeful that I would get a satisfactory response but the response I received blew me away! The seller offered to send a replacement battery (two actually) and a wall charger viz FedEx! All of this to replace a battery that originally cost me 8.99.The replacement battery seems to be working fine but I will update if it dies an early death like its predecessor.Based on my experience I would definitely consider this seller for other items as well due to the outstanding customer service I received.

Charged fine and seemed to work fine to begin with
Bought as a backup for original. Charged fine and seemed to work fine to begin with, but sometimes I'm unable to open the camera. I have to take the battery at least part way out, reinsert it, before it will then activate opening the camera lens. It seems as if the contact points are not aligned with the contacts in the camera. Aggravating and time consuming when trying to take photos. Works sometimes 60% and sometimes not 40%. Should return, but not worth the time and effort for $8+ dollars.

Charges well - Good Power - Dimension varies from original
I bought two of these. Each has a higher power rating than original Olympus batteries. However, the physical size is slightly shorter than the original, and would not work in one of my cameras, unless a thin shim (two thicknesses of thin card stock) was adhered to the end opposite the contacts. This is not a problem in most Olympus cameras, and may be due to an anomaly in the contacts in this one camera.

GREAT REPLACEMENT BATTERY
This is my second purchase for this type of battery. I purchased a battery to replace the original battery in my Olympus digital camera. The original was no longer holding its charge; and needed replacing. While on vacation in Nuevo Vallarta, this battery proved to be outstanding. So upon my return, I purchased a second one as a backup. They hold the charge for quite a long time. I regret I did not time it well to provide a better assessment; but I did not experience any problems with the battery. I used it for an entire week without having to re-charge it. I have yet to use the second battery; but I do intend to use them extensively on two other trips we have planned this year. Hope this helps you out there.
