Life Fallout? Like Board Games? This
I bought FFG's Star Wars: Outer Rim when it first came out. It's pretty similar except that quests are more shared and not individual. Individuals have agendas and quest results can go usually 2 different ways. Players can sometimes find themselves going for the same thing, especially when it comes to faction boosts or they may be in opposition in which things get interesting. It's a good game. I'm a huge Fallout fan so I'm all into the gear and companions that kept hitting the board. They caught the theme really well. I would say with the base you probably have a good dozen games before you might see some heavy repetition though I doubt any two games will wind up absolute identical. Some may like this, others may find they like the variability like found in Outer Rim. There are four scenarios to choose with the base game.

Fun Game for Fans
I purchased this game a little while ago and have been playing a round here or there when I get the chance and I haven’t tired of it yet — it’s a lot of fun. There is a high replay value to the game. There are only four scenarios, but each time you play, the action will unfold differently based on the layout of tiles, placement of enemies, the cards drawn, and the choices you make. It’s like an interactive choose your own adventure game, with a main quest and side quests to keep you busy. For fans of the series, it’s extra fun to see how elements of the video games have been carried over and adapted. There are recognizable characters and places and items and it’s exciting each time I see something I didn’t see in previous play-throughs.I can’t speak for the multiplayer aspect, but it’s still fun and rewarding to play solo. A lot of people ask how you play a board game against yourself, but you don’t. You play against the scenarios of the game.I will say that this isn’t the easiest game to learn, (there are two books of rules/guidelines!) but once you start playing it comes together quickly. The books are a helpful reference when you need a reminder or need to figure out a particular instance, but sometimes an online search can provide more information.I look forward to playing through this game again and again and hope to get the expansion pack soon.

Ironically just like the video games
The box and game pieces are great quality. Much like the video games however, playing with the base rules feels unsatisfying and incomplete. Experimenting with 'Mods' or house rules make the game much more enjoyable. This, along with some tokens like real bottlecaps and painting the figures has made it a very immersive and fun tabletop RPG in my collection.

If you love the video game - you'll love the board game version!
From the first time I saw Fallout the board game on the shelf I knew I wanted it. I have been a fan of the Fallout line since the first game. I have play almost every Fallout video game to come out and it was time to get the board game. After watching a couple videos on how to play, I was very intimidated. There seemed to be a lot of moving parts, card decks and miniatures. My fiancé and I play a most of our games together and I was thinking this would be one that would be a little out of her comfort zone.I played through the single player game mode and enjoyed the game from the start. After the first game I knew the game was not as complicated as I thought. The game was so fun I stayed up till 3 am playing the game another 2 times. The next day I set it up for my fiancé and I, and I wasn’t disappointed. My favorite part of the game is the questing. The flavor and the ways you go about completing the quest feel like playing a video game. This is the closet I have come, in a board game, to a video game RPG. With hundreds of quest cards, the game replay is awesome. We both enjoyed the game and can’t wait to introduce it to our play group.I play a lot of tabletop games with miniature and the piece in Fallout are top quality. Before long they will be painted and looking great on the great design of the game tiles. It really feels like you are in the wastelands. For those of you that have played the games, look forward to the quest for the Wasteland Survival Guide! All of the cards are well designed and I really like the decks are different physical sizes. There wasn’t enough room in the box for the insert and all the cards/game pieces. And there was not enough bags for all the game pieces, packaging could have been thought out a little more. Other than that, the game is great and I am looking forward to the expansion.

Actually fun
I’m the type to find board games intimidating to start but this one was pretty easy to pick up! There isn’t too much to keep track of that isn’t apparent on the playing field.Manual does good with explaining the rules. I was able to get through a game after just one read through (and occasional glances at the reference during play)If you like Fallout just buy it it’s actually fun

Excelente juego de mesa para la colección
Cumplió todas mis espectativas, la expansión de enlaces atómicos es una compra indispensable para una mejor experiencia de juego, sería excelente una reimpresión de la expansión de Nueva California o expandir aún más
