It was a gift
This was a gift for my grandson. So my only review I can really give is that it was the right one and he seemed to be enjoying it

A fun cube that's easy to solve
My son is a speed cuber and wants just about every cube ever made. I was thrilled to find this, and than was even more pleased to find out I can actually solve this one! I cannot solve the 3X3X3 no matter how much he tries to teach me. This will be too simple for a cuber but it is a fun gift and they would love to add it to their collection. He likes to take his cubes to school to have his friends try them out and they love this one!

Nothing fancy - it's fine
This BestCube 1x2x3 cube is a good way to acclimate people to speed cubing, especially little kids. This rectangular "cube" represents a partial section of a Rubik's cube. By simplifying a puzzle cube, it allows people to more easily understand how specific turning combination algorithms move and rotate pieces along the puzzle. I think it's good for anyone who's never been able to solve a Rubik's cube, and works especially well for kids who are in the 5-8 years old range as a first puzzle cube for them. The "cube" has different colors for each face of the puzzle rectangle. You can rotate the puzzle in all the different ways you can rotate a full sized 3x3x3 Rubik's cube. The individual pieces here are all colorful and easy to see. The faces are a smoother, non-textured ABS plastic. Rotation is fine, but I wouldn't consider this a speed cube, since it takes a little bit of effort to initiate rotations. There are some chinese characters on one of the white faces, which can be viewed as either being annoying, or it can give users an orientation piece. It's actually not bad to have those characters on that face because you can use it to understand how a combo of rotations will move that face about the rectangular puzzle.Overall, this 1x2x3 puzzle cube is totally fine and a good gateway cube to a full sized 3x3x3. I just wish it was a little faster on the rotations and that the faces had some more of the matte texture that you find on true speed cubes - but that's my personal preference.

Fun, but not very difficult.
My son's exact words were, "It's impossible not to be able to solve it." I guess he wanted more of a challenge. No matter how you mix it up it seems to be pretty easy to get it back to normal again. It is still fun to fidget with and it's very smooth and well made. I just wouldn't expect to be very challenged by it.The quality is excellent and it's not just a cheap feeling piece of plastic.

Parts are easy to move
The media could not be loaded. I have a Rubrik's cube that is hard to move the parts. I'm not impressed as it was an original make. With this cube puzzle the parts move past each other very smoothly.Instructions are provided to solve the puzzle. There are two ways. 1. A rotation method. 2. Use an algorithm.

Very easy cube puzzle
If you have a kiddo who gets frustrated with other cube puzzles this might just be the thing you need. This cube puzzle is very easy to solve. In fact I was actively trying to NOT solve it, and I still solved it. I was thinking that it would be useful as a tool for kind of training your brain how to think about solving the traditional cube puzzle, but I think its just too easy solve for it to act as any kind of training or practice tool. It is nicely made and sturdy.
