Just what I was looking for for my truck. Cheaper than at the store.

Worked great on my 2018 Yukon XL Denali (6.2L), exact replacement. You need a 10mm socket to remove 1 bolt from the diagonal sway bar and then swing it out of the way (don't need to take the front bolt out!) Then 5/16ths socket to remove the 4 screws/bolts holding the top of the air filter housing off. The lowest screw is hard to reach, you'll definitely want an extension for your socket (12-inch extension or longer). The 4 screws/bolts have a 5/16ths head but also have a phillips head option...I'd recommend using the 5/16ths socket for all 5 but if you don't have a long socket extension, maybe try the phillips option for the last screw (front side, towards driver side). Make sure the filter is all the way seated into the housing and then press the cover back on - be sure to line it up and have it seat evenly, then put the screws back in. Don't tighten each screw down all the way then go to the next, get all 4 screws started then crisscross/alternate as you tighten each screw down.

Good direct fit

Grabbed this FRAM filter for my Silverado and it works prety well. Install was easy — took maybe five minutes — just pop the old one out and slide this in. The engine does seem to run a bit smoother, altho not a huge diffrence. For the price, it’s a solid deal. After a couple weeks of mixed driving, the filter still looks fairly clean. I like that it’s rated for around 12k miles, but I’ll probly check it sooner just to be safe. Only downside is it doesn’t feel quite as sturdy as some other filters I’ve used, but it still gets the job done. Overall, a good, budget-friendly option if you’re not expecting anything fancy.

Installed in a 2012 Chevy Avalanche - no, the 2012 does not support the use of cabin filters - with little trouble. I purchased a "door" to cover up the hole I cut into the interior air channels of the truck, and everything worked out perfectly! The kit is by "Dorman", if anyone is interested, and this Fram filter went into it's place very easily. I would highly recommend both the kit, to modify your truck, or the filter as a direct replacement. I will order this filter again, the next time I need to changer it.
