Larger mailbox, good quality!! Definitely a necessity!

The mailbox arrived in perfect condition and was very easy to install. It feels sturdy, has plenty of space for mail, and looks great in front of the house. I’m very satisfied with this purchase.

This arrived today. Well... it looks nice! But I can't give 5 stars to a mailbox I cannot use. They advertise this as "Install in Minutes", "Quick Installation" and "Easy Installation". Having replaced a few mailboxes over the years, I was looking forward to an easy installation. But, no. I removed the old mailbox (different brand), and went to put this on. I have a universal mount from Architectural Mailboxes. While the holes in this mailbox are the same distance apart as the old mailbox, they are closer to the front of the mailbox, so the mailbox cannot fit. After 100+ years, haven't mailboxes been standardized? The "easy installation" would require re-positioning the existing plate. That would entail unscrewing 8 screws, determining the proper location for 8 new holes (if I get them wrong, I have to do it again), drilling the 8 news holes, screwing in the 8 plate screws... and *then* attaching the mailbox with 4 more screws. And then I would have to hope that the post will handle the 8 new holes (the wood is tapered at the end, so the screws could damage the wood). So I have to decide whether to take the time to do all that extra work and risk damaging the post, or return this and buy a competing brand that will work fine on my existing Architectural Mailboxes universal plate (yes, there is some irony there). This could have indeed been an easy installation if they just had 2 more holes on each side, and then it would fit their own universal mounting plate on my post.

Great mail box, we've replaced a few as our road is busy and the snow plow throws the snow really hard against it. The metal ones use dto rust so this plastic box fixed myrust problem. But seems just as durable if not more so than our previous boxes. Seals tight. Could do without the "US mail" logo since we're in Canada, but that's minimal problem for us.

Easy to install, large box, durable. Made of a good material. I expect this to last a long time.

The plastic is thinner than I would like, but it does not affect the functionality of the mailbox. The door is also kind of flimsy. We purchased it because our old mailbox was steel and it literally fell apart from the road salt they use.

Great mailbox. Made from strong plastic. Our mail woman left a note and complemented the mail box.
