Q: Will this work on a door that has a pre-drilled hole for a standard knob? It's a new door from a home improvement store that has the handle hole

Yes. This is the standard backset and should fit the size of a standard pre-drilled hole.

Q: Can you use this for a double pocket door setup?

You either have to offset the two latches (one higher than the other) or mount them both at the same height and then you wouldn't be able to latch either door.

Q: What is the hole diameter that is required?

the hole is 2 1/8" the same as any door you buy already bored for a regular door knob

Q: The backset on my pocket door is 1 7/8", from edge to center of hole (I think contractor trimmed down door). Any way to make this work for my door?
