Deceptive and poor quality control. Not worthy of the name.
Hubby buys Powell Peralta boards because of the company's reputation and their practices: made in California or Mexico, single-pressed decks, minimal or no warping, and so forth. This one failed on all counts. It was badly twisted straight out of the box (I mean so badly that the wheels don't all touch the ground without a person's full weight on it). The griptape hung out over the edges of the board in places, like it had been applied by someone who was in a rush to get home or had never gripped a board before. It was made in China, yet the price tag suggested it was a domestic product. It does have good quality wheels, bearings, and trucks, but the deck is just plain bad. This should not say "Powell Peralta" on it.
