Works for 76 Dodge Van
We used this kit to replace the aged and failing (also aftermarket) drive units in a 76 Dodge van. Can't comment on the switches and wiring because we kept the original custom wiring in the van, but the drives themselves seem to be working just fine. Could they use a little more power? Sure, but if your existing window mechanisms are working smoothly as they should, these will do the job just fine. Instructions, as mentioned in other reviews, are a bit lacking so you'll need to use your head a little to figure out the best mounting but the provided brackets give you plenty of options. Every vehicle is going to be different. Our driver and passenger doors even required a little different placement of the motors and mounting brackets. Tip: For optimum operation and longevity, when mounting, try to route the "cable" from motor to window crank in as straight a line as possible. That keeps the resistance and wear to a minimum and will also provide best performance. And don't be afraid to get creative. It's not against the rules to cut metal out of the door for a better place to mount the drive motor. Just be sure what you cut will be covered by the interior door panel when you put things back together.

Easy install
This is very easy to install. Just remember 2 things: 1) The instructions are worthless. Watch one of the youtube videos. 2) Place the motor over one of the numerous holes in the door. Then make sure the side that sticks out goes into the hole and not in the way of the door panel going back on. I taped the wires to a stiff wire to feed them through the channel in the door, through the rubber tube and into the vehicle. For power I had to run it to the fusebox under the hood. Under the dash fuses all had continuous power - And this has constant power feed so it could kill your battery if it is always on. As long as I had the panels off I replaced the door speakers. Easy to do since the panel was off. This is much slower than oem, and with the vehicle not started the windows barely made it up. I lubricated the tracks and cleaned the windows with pledge furniture polish to help them go up. The 15 to 20% higher voltage when the vehicle was running helped a lot.

Easy to install and they work great!
This kit arrived in 2 days. It was packaged very nicely and has everything you might need. The quality is what you eould expect for the price. The installation process is straight forward if you understand cars and how wireing works. The motors are not quiet but they are not annoying either. If your window regulators are in good eorking order these motors will raise and lower your windows just fine. I read many complaints from people saying they are slow. I installed this in a full sized chevy truck with heavy windows. As I stated above if your regulators are greased and eork properly these motors will work great. Make sure you secure the motor and gear ends properly and mount thrm in an area that will not conflict with the door pannel and you will not have any problems. The only reason im not giving them 5 stars is because of the quality of the gears and the lack of wiring diagram in my package. I would suggest these to anyone wanting to upgrade to power windows.

Great upgrade kit!
I am very happy with this kit. I have been in automotive for many years and this kit had everything in it and was easy for me to install. I believe to a non mechanical/electrical experienced person this kit could be quite a challenge and may be somewhat difficult. That being said, I felt the parts are well made and the included adapters and brackets were good quality. My 20 year old toyota now has working power windows and I am pleased. I wired this system off a 40amp relay fed direct from the battery. I would also recommend that one should lubricate the window regulator assembly when the door panel is off. Once completed the windows are pretty fast. I also painted the switch covers to match my interior. looks oem. Great kit!!!!

Motors are to weak.
When I first installed one of the motors burnt up within about 2 weeks. They sent me a new one. I put it in. The drivers side worked ok for awhile. The passenger side is the one I had to replace. It would sometimes go up and sometimes it would not. I had to flip the switch to inch it up. I still do. Now it’s both windows. They won’t go up, I have to flip the switch and help them go up. Really sucks. But it’s been over a year. They work. They just don’t go up on their own very easily. I have done more research since than. I believe I know why. These motors are 12 amp motors. But all power window motors on all vehicles are 15-20 amps. The motor is just to weak. 12 amps is just not going to cut it. I will go to a junk yard and get some motors that are stronger. Buy new switches and change the circuit fuse. Or wire them with relays. But I’m pretty sure the 12 amp motor is the reason they don’t work for me and the reason they fail for others. The only thing good in this kit is the part that hooks up to where the original handle was.

Best mod I've ever done to a vehicle.
09 jeep wrangler. Not much space and only one way to install that I could find. Definitely takes some creativity but it can be done. It works. I was impressed it came with a pre made wiring harness which made electrical real easy. For the money it was well worth a try. Rolling down no problem. Rolling up seemed a bit slow but I raced my wife's 2024 suv and I was the same speed. Newly installed so just need to see if it stands the test of time. I can definitely see that if your manual windows are harder to roll up by hand this may not work well. My jeeps windows had very little resistance when Rolling up manually.

Quality of life improvement but cheap. Keep your expectations low.
Overall it's a great quality of life improvement but it does have it's issues. The passenger side suffers from voltage drop (much slower to open/close). Also, the wiring instructions are non-existant. You'll definitely want to run a wire to your battery or use a 30A Fuse Tap to power it.The install itself is straight forward and easy enough. Definitely go out and get a set of self-tappers from Lowes/Home Depot as the provided hardware is garbage.Overall, the product is cheap but it gets the job done.
