Meh - it's kinda cute but absolutely not a means for learning the Hebrew language at all. I'd consider it more of a gag-gift, or perhaps just a silly fun book for someone who's already been learning the language.

This would make a fun book to share in guest rooms, or to supplement your Hebrew education. The illustrations are funny and the scenarios are often preposterous, but I like it and can see myself using this to teach kids or adults. The book itself is rather small and would fit easily in a purse.

yup...quite entertaining but I like best is they spell the word in Hebrew and give the english pronunciation..help me to READ Hebrew...if I cant remember the meaning !

Hilarious book! I have a native Hebrew speaker in my house so he helps clarify pronunciation - but it's definitely a good buy if you're trying to remember hebrew!

This method is so clever and so funny. Great illustrations too. We received the original book as a gift but ordered the updated edition and love the additional new sentences and illustrations well. This little book has vocabulary for all levels which means that we can enjoy it as a family.

It may seem like a frivolous book but my son living in Israel loved it and said he really is learning some handy words and phrases. It wasn’t designed for a complete language program but worth the buy.

Great fun using an English word association system. If like me you have no previous knowledge of the language, this is brilliant as I have made no real effort (I'm quite lazy) and even I have learned a lot. If you want to get some vocabulary quickly this is a good way of doing it. Probably best to listen to a fluent speaker or use it with one of the many free internet translation sites such as google translate to hear and perfect the correct pronunciation as some Hebrew sounds can't really be written accurately with English script.

Hilarious Hebrew is a must have for everyone like me, learning Hebrew. Learning a new language can be challenging. Depending on your learning style finding a suitable learning programme can be difficult. Until I read Hilarious Hebrew there were a few Hebrew words I just couldn’t remember. Now I remember those words by association. If your serious about learning Hebrew you seriously need this book.

Really great book for adults and kids to learn in having fun! It is easy to read, simple to understand and really funny, which helps a lot to remember words. The illustrations are really entertaining too. The whole family is enjoying this little book and we're getting ready for our next trip!! :0)

I used this book purely as a help to memorise the translation of English to Hebrew and Hebrew to English. The concept used is a picture that illustrates the sound of the word. For example: A picture of a two ladies oggling the waiter who was serving them, with the strap line "The WAITER is so charming, he MELTS OUR hearts" - the Hebrew word for waiter is מלצר (melzar).

Hilarious Hebrew is a great book, a pocket size easy to read with a fun new approach to learning the language and memorising words. I love it, I find myself having fun with the family and comparing words. It also helps us identify words according to our daily interests. It's a very entertaining book and I've also enjoyed buying it for a few of my friends.
