It's always difficult to fairly judge protein powders. Did it work better/worse than another? That's hard to say unless you notice a massive performance/gains difference between different brands (not too likely). Flavor? A bit subjective as one thing may not be sweet enough for one person but seem sickly sweet for another.That said, strictly gauging by the nutrition label this is a very solid Casein protein that has a good protein per serving to serving size ratio (20G to 30G) good potassium to sodium ratio, and doesn't flood with a ton of sugar and carbs.Tastewise I found it quite good. Tastes good enough that I can mix it into water (most whey proteins taste like cheap powdered milk if mixed that way to me), and in milk it reminds me a lot of ovaltine, mixed with greek yogurt it gets a taste and texture not unlike cheesecake filling. Something to bear in mind however is the texture. Being Casein protein it is much thicker than whey, meaning a scoop into 8 oz. of milk will be a pretty thick/glorpy substance. I'd say for the most part whatever you use to make your whey protein with I'd multiply the liquid by 1.5 to get a good consistency from Casein.

I've never tried Casein protein before, but am looking to maintain muscle while cutting so need some ways to up my protein intake. I've been drinking this before bed and while I can't speak for any major results (I've eating very cleanly and following an exercise regimen which makes it hard to say how much this supplement is doing), I can speak for the taste and I really like it. Mixed with water, it tastes like a milkshake to me. With milk, it's thicker and even better. For 100 calories, it makes the perfect drink before bed because it's actually quite filling.I was nervous because I typically don't handle lactose very well (I regularly drink lactaid and almond milk) but this doesn't bother me at all. Taking it before bed helps too, because I suppose I wouldn't even notice any, ahem, gas.If you're mixing this in a blender bottle, I recommend putting the liquid in the bottle first, then the powder on top. If you put the powder in first, it tends to get stuck to the bottom a bit. But all in all, I really like this stuff.Quick delicious recipe: Take plain oatmeal, mix in a scoop of this protein and peanut butter (the powdered peanut butter works too) and pop it into the microwave. The smell is unbelievable, and the taste is arguably better- just like fresh baked brownies.

Ok, I'll start this out with a caveat, I've been looking for a medical-grade protein for awhile now, I just got done with a doc's program that used Calcium Casein and lost 80 lbs. However, there was a little bit of fat (2 grams) and no cholesterol in that medical weight loss protein powder, but WHOA was it expensive.This, for being Splenda-based, is indeed one of the best tasters out there, however in terms of raw exposure to Cholesterol, it is one of the offenders, 20mg, not the best.You can feel the 24g of protein go to work right away, as soon as it hits your stomach. Casein is unique among milk proteins as it's the one that gels in your acidic stomach environment. Thus, it's a good idea to get yourself some inulin-based fiber (hint: NOT Benefiber), and a good stomach acid survivable probiotic, search for those, you'll have better results.Once your stomach is trained on this protein, fiber, and probiotic mixture, however, you will enjoy all the benefits and the only drawback is increased bathroom usage for the first week or so. As your energy level goes up, make sure you compensate with weight-lifting and just walking for at least 45 mins a day, that helps your body breakdown enough to get the protein-induced healing cycle going.All in all, great stuff, besides the cholesterol.

I really like this protein mix. It's the best value for the money. great flavor and you can add as much milk as you want to make it as thick as you want. Also works great to add your supplements both liquid and powdered capsules. Your fruits mix in very well with it.

Good, chocolat-y flavor. No real complaints, but still looking for the "chocolate holy grail" in whey-casein blends. Select use to make what I thought was the best, but they discontinued the flavor for some unknown reason...

This is a hugh quality, slow digesting protein that is best taken at night. I've used it for yrs to make Martin Berkhan's Leangains "Protein pudding" recipe with this stuff, a little sugar free pudding mix, and some coconut cream/milk. The vanilla flavor is best for making these things as it can take on the flavor of whatever pudding u are making (butterscotch & banana are my favs). It mixes great w a stick blender and the value can't be beat. I restock every few months.

The Vanilla Syntrax Micellar Creme tastes great and blends very well with milk. It will make a thick, but not chalky shake. I think the flavor is better than Optimum Nutrition's vanilla casein powder. The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars is because I wish it came in a 4 lb tub. The price per pound is also approximately the same as ON's 4 lb tub of vanilla casein.

I love this protein powder. But what I recurved was only half full. I feel for the price I should get a full jug!

Having tried a number of whey products, this was a revelation. Minimal gas and easily digested. Strong strawberry flavour, mixing easily with skimmed milk. Will buy again.
