Lathers easily with badger, boar or synthetic brush. The main scent is a cologne type tobacco flower which I like.

Smells greatlathers greati look forward to shaving in the morning. the previous soaps i have used from other suppliers claim to smell of ..... but i could never smell them. This floris soap hits you with a fantastic smell the moment you start lathering.

Floris has an amazing heritage for soaps and perfumes. Had watched some reviews of this which mentioned that it was quite expensive for what it is. The price of £24 I paid was on the more expensive side of fair, but still not unreasonable for a quality product with such a great heritage. It comes in a really wonderful walnut bowl which feels absolutely premium. It would make a decent gift.The soap itself is a subjective thing for people. In my opinion it is very subtle with no lasting fragrance that I could detect, however I think it forms a great lather, is good on the skin and gives a good shave. I have tried Proraso, Taylors of Bond Street, Boots and Arko etc, but I think I prefer this one.

More expensive but worth it if you value your skin.
