After drying it gave dark brown colour instead of black and destroyed my shoes

This dye is not good quality.
Even after drying (24 hours), it keeps on coming off on hands. After dyeing a pure leather bag, my wife will not use it as it will stain her clothes and hands. It would have been better if I hadn't applied it. I lost Rs 300 or so and the handbag is unusable.
