Minky Ergo Plus Ironing Board

I can't usually be bothered to write a review but this ironing board is fantastic. It is just the right size, design and height to make ironing really quick and efficient. I have a condensing iron and the under shelf is a great idea for keeping the steam unit out the way and this also keeps the board more stable. I also like the design - it's like ironing on a sleek surf board!! Silly to get excited about an ironing board, but I did ... it makes a rotten job more enjoyable and easy. Great value for money too and the board itself is ventilated metal so it's strong but not too heavy to handle.

The issue of using an iron with a steam generator is now resolved by investing in this ironing board. The reflective surface and ergonomic design makes ironing much easier. Its shape invites a comfortable and easy sweeping action from side to side, for example making long sleeve double cuff shirt ironing quicker and less tiring. It is very sturdy with a large ironing surface and so it is a little heavier than standard flimsy ironing boards but after you have put it up for the first time you learn the technique or erecting it without a problem. It also has an attractive design which invites you to use it rather than putting you off the task of ironing a week's shirts and bed linen. Being so easy to use we set it up in front of the TV and the time flies by. Yes, such a simple thing as finding this practical household item has prompted me to write this recommendation.

The board is ok. However, the delivery was delayed, and it was supposed to be fast delivery.

It is a little heavier than my previous boards, but is so stable when in use. Iron rest is very good, and the little stand underneath copes easily with folded clothes. Easy to set up and fold away..I think it was worth the cost.

Very heavy. I am 80 and find it difficult to lift. Perhaps that should be made clear. Otherwise it is a solid iorning board. My partner also finds this heavy and he is tall and strong!

When looking for an ironing board I chose the Minky ironing board for one reason I needed one with a shelf and a wider ironing board and this does exactly what I want to do. It holds my steam generator and the surface is wider than my old one, and yeah, it’s a fantastic ironing board not much more. I can say about it.

My wife had been asking for a new ironing board for some time as our old one was around 12 years old. With her birthday coming up next week I thought I would give her an early Birthday gift. She was over the moon when Amazon delivered it today. Once she had finished work she could not wait to get her Minky out. I chose this model to compliment her steam generator Iron and it's futuristic looks. Well it certainly lives up to its name and its design features. While she was ironing all my T-Shirts she not nly looked Comfortable, there was also a new found Speed to her ironing and it was definitely Performance enhancing. She mentioned during her break to make me a cup of tea that she loved the Faster Crease Removal, the Ergo Rest for the Iron, the Flex guide to hold the steam tube but mainly the Steam generator shelf. My wife is quite tall and so the additional adjustment height also aided her effectiveness. After my trip out orienteerin today I brought back lots of muddy stuff that she can now wash with her additional load Washer I bought her two years ago, her extra load Candy Dryer I bought her last year and then back to Ergonomic Ironing. Now scanning Amazon for a few more bits for her Birthday, maybe a new feather duster, some furry cuffed rubber gloves or maybe a new Steam Generator Iron. My thinking is, the more efficient and up to date these things are, the more cups of tea I get whilst sitting with the dog. Moral of the story for a long and happy marriage fella's is listen to what your wife wants and act on it.

Update 5 Oct 2025 - Still going strong! Update: June 2025 -- Still using the new replacement pad and it's doing great. I will never use a different ironing board or different ironing board cover. (Note that the structure, like the feet and the actual metal ironing board have held up now for well over 5 years and they are still going strong.) Update 2024: See photos--unfortunately it is having some holes. But this is after DAILY ironing TWO shirts for the last five + years. I have had this since March 2019, and I ordered a new replacement pad. Works brand new. Update: 13 April 2022: I am happy to report that this is still going strong. Update: 7 Aug 2021: Still good. Update 25 Feb 2021: This thing is still going strong. This has been the best ironing board I've ever used. It makes ironing a lot faster. I've had it for many years now and it still looks brand new. Easy to fold, easy to store, it is high-end-high-class all around. NOTE: I iron every single day and this thing is still holding up strong. Usually I would need to replace my iron maybe 2-3 times by now. Not with this thing. It's a keeper. Buy it.
