VistaProtect - Premium Privacy Screen Filter & Anti Blue Light Protector for Computer Monitors (20.1" inches)

I have the magnetic version of this product and it snaps onto the screen perfectly and fits the screen beautifully. It works exactly as described and blocks out glare/offers increased privacy. Was easy to install and I loved the little webcam guard that was included. Excellent product, thank you.

This is the second purchase I've made from VistaProtect for the privacy and anti-glare screen as I have changed to a wider screen laptop. The product works very well as an anti-glare screen, which is the priority for my purchase. It also seems like the privacy filter appears to be performing better than the one I had purchased a few years ago and I'm not sure if improvements had been made specifically in this area. It used to be the case when someone sitting next to me will still be able to see my screen but it is no longer the case with this latest purchase. I don't always have the filter on so the ability to slip it on and off the screen with the side tabs is a good solution for me.

Viewing angle is not good enough to be safe on a plane / train (tested, failed - thankfully it was my colleague sat next to me) so not good if you’ve got to be sure you can’t be overlooked but company stands by no-quibble refund if not suitable and passed feedback on to design team so you know they care about getting it right. If they update this product I am trying again. Companies with such a good attitude are rare these days. Happy customer (even if I didn’t get what I wanted).

I am not usually bothered enough to review products, but this one was bad enough to motivate me. Firstly, the blocking effect is very poor, even when when you have dimmed the screen (which makes it hard enough to read with the additional inevitable dimming effect of the privacy filter). The photo shows the result with the brightness set at 50% on my Lenovo - which, as it is, is not the brightest laptop. Only half the screen is blocked. Secondly, I bought this because it was advertised as being a filter that you could attach and remove with ease using tab holders. You cannot. The tabs are dead flat. When I tried to slide the screen under the tabs, the edges of the screen simply bent and got damaged. One edge split in two. I then spent 30 minutes trying to bend the tabs so that they would somehow allow the screen underneath. After a great deal of work, the tabs just about hold the screen in place now, but it remains a hassle to re-attach despite my considerable labours. You have to push the screen in on each side one at a time by pulling up the end of the tabs with your nails. Certainly you cannot simply slide the screen down as imagined (I choose the word carefully) by the instructions manual. A very misleading product. Stay clear if you are intending to attach/remove with any degree of frequency.

Not the cheapest option but I consider it great value for money. Arrived promptly, and in my case with a free laptop camera cover and screen wipe. Easy to put in place, and with spare sticky clip things for the inevitable losses. Very effective privacy from the sides. Happy with the purchase.

I have a few issues with this product. The double sided sticky pads that hold the filter on aren't quite as transparent as I'd expect, and are pretty obvious. The viewing angle is a bit wider than I'd like, and it seems to make my laptop screen "sweat". Yes, sweat. Occasionally I have to pull the screen off (I don't use the temporary slide, but intended it to be a permanent fixture) just to dry it. No moisture is in my laptop bag or anything. I'm told the heat from the screen and humidity in the air can cause this, but I'd assume the plastic filter would be able to let it breathe a little. Apparently not. Don't get me wrong, it's a good product, does the job, but I'm not convinced there aren't better products out there.

A perfect fit for my HP EliteBook 840 G3. Sits in the recess so the stick on tabs allowing it to slide in and out really work - my last laptop had a flush screen so I had to stick them down with gaffer tape, which looked terrible in front of clients. Provides adequate protection for working on the train. As with all such screens, it will never prevent someone determined to get a look but will prevent embarrassing, "Oh. I see you're working on/ for ..." moments from casual glances.

The filter works well and does its job properly. Now, the installation option 2 (plastic tabs) is just not usable. The plastic tabs don't stay in their place. And when they do, you can't fit the screen in. It is just not well designed at it will not work properly. In addition, the size is not correct. My screen is 12.3" and I ordered the 12.5". Well, it is not tall enough to cover the whole screen.
