Bambüsi Bread Slicer with Knife, Homemade Sourdough Loaf Cutter, Bamboo

It was a gift for my partner and he loves it! It looks as pictured and works great! I love the knife that magnetically attaches! It sliced the bread he made nicely and is adjustable for thinner or thicker cuts. It arrived quickly as well, no complaints here.

The slicer is well made and is a very useful tool for slicing our bread maker made bread. The item is sturdy and is made and functions well. If there are any drawbacks it is that the Slicer is only made for loaf shaped bread. The only way to use this with a round loaf is to cut the round loaf in half and cut it that way. The knife that comes with it works for the purpose, but I find the knife cuts a little rough due to the serrated edge and it could be about an 1" longer to be perfect. I use a non-serrated meat slicing knife to make smoother cuts, plus it is much longer. Overall, I am very happy with the product. I also enjoy that it folds down neatly for storage when not in use.

Nice storage function. I like the two different slice options. No issues with the slicer. The included knife cuts good. I'm concerned about shards from the slicer getting on the bread. So I'll be careful when slicing the bread. It also doesn't cut all of the way through to the bottom of the loaf. But I guess that'll make transfer to the storage container easy. Its been used twice since it was received. Pleased so far. (Pictured with homemade wheat bread.)

GREAT bread slicer guide! I love that it has 3 different thicknesses & folds flat & has a magnetic spot for the knife. Bonus was that it had a storage bag. HIGHLY recommend this one!

The bread slicer design is beautiful, very functional and works well. Two issues, the biggest one is the overwhelming fish odor coming from the wood. I’ve had it open and upright for two weeks, it still smells horrible. The second is that it won’t retold for storage. I messaged the seller, I hope they can help.

This is an absolutely stunning piece and I love the quality! I actually returned a few similar items before deciding on this one and I am very pleased with my purchase. I like that it has different sizes you can use on the guide posts for your perfect slice👌. It it very sturdy once locked into place. I saw a review that said the sides didn't hold up in place. One of my sides was a bit snug and did not auto lock into place like the other side. Once I manually pushed it into the notch it locked in place. Not a big deal to me at all I still love it! I did put a demo in my video so I hope that helps with assembly I agree with some of the reviews that the magnets to hold the knife are not very stong but I knew about that by the reviews before I purchased so and its not a big deal to me but I did upload a video to kind of show the strength so you can make your own educated decision 😊. My opinion is that it's fine but if you pick it up and move it like I do as a serving tray just be sure you have a hold of it to be safe 👍. I love the crumb catcher feature! I've had a similar bread slicer before without one and let me tell you that this one is a game changer on being mess free. I want to share a little tip to keep your bread slicer lasting a long time. I have added a thin piece of flexible plastic cutting board that I bought for cheap at Walmart and cut it to fit inside as a barrier to protect the wood from being damage by the knife. When I am done I just angle it slightly and let the crumbs fall down in the crumb catching tray then toss that plastic piece in the dishwasher. No mess no damage perfect 👌 ❤️. The crumb catching tray can also be used on its own as an elegant serving tray. I've even used mine as a charcuterie board and it's just so darn pretty. This peice is so nice and can be displayed on your counter but it does come with a soft bag for easy storage. Happy Baking everyone. 💓

Purchased this because of looking at the number of 4 star reviews. Just go it and opened the box and WHEW! The box had a faint foul smell, so just thought it was the packaging. When I cut the plastic wrap off…. THE SMELL OF THE WOOD IS SOO FOUL IT SMELLS LIKE A PIG TROUGH. Made the whole kitchen smell. In looking at some of the last few reviews, lots of them are reporting the same smell. It is horrible. It is a waste of time to purchase this as you will immediately return it and then you just wasted part of you day with this. NOT WORTH IT.

This a wonderful bread cutter, I. no longer have to get uneven cuts and I love that the knife comes with it.

Love my bamboo bread slicer. It has the perfect knife and the magnetic knife holder is awesome. Love how the crumbs get caught in the bottom, making clean up so easy.

Before going to write a review I want to mention (based on my own experience) never try to cut a fresh bread. I personally leave my bread for at least 8 to 10 hours before slicing it! The knife is very sharp so when getting close to the bottom of the bread be more gentle to minimize the damage to the board. I would love this board would come with scratch resistance layer that can be put over the board, something that could be taken into consideration for the next design maybe?! The non-slip feet ensure that the guide stays securely in place on your worktop, allowing for a steady and controlled slicing experience. The foldable design adds an element of convenience, making it easy to set up for use and then store away when not needed. The natural bamboo surface is easy to wipe clean, and because bamboo is a sustainable resource, making this bread slicer an environmentally conscious choice for consumers who prioritize green living. We regularly get the use of this and so far it has been great addition to our kitchen!
