Very effective
I'm very impressed with this heater. I use the portability of his little heater to take the chill out of a very cold bathroom in the mornings and other rooms when required. Its heat production is substantial considering I have had almost a full 24 hours at one stage from a 500 gram gas canister. Ok it has a little condensation forming around the canister itself that is rectified by placing on a stand. It produces enough heat to dry out a bathroom post shower in around 20 mins. Its stable, and the fitting is tight and safe. Just be safe and make sure there is adequate ventilation, plus it gets hot,red hot! So watch where you place it and turn off and let cool before relocation,or changing canister. There will be a puff of gas as you connect so press together and twist until the rubber seal squeeks to prevent too much escape. Just to give some idea further, I live in a remote area of northern Greece where it gets cold in the winter, I have only a wood fire heating the main room so this little star has made my showering (which is sometimes cold water when the electric fails) a lot more comfortable. Worth purchasing.

Fantastic but catalytic heaters are safer
This heater is the only small camping heater available in the market and it does the job of heating our tent very well. OK. This is heater is a radiant heater and not a catalytic heater. Catalytic heaters are much better because they have no flame and produce less CO than a heater with a normal flame like this one, but this heater is quite OK. The heater does not give me headaches nor fumes when used with enought ventilation. That said, this heater requires more precaution and wide open ventilation (which is counter-effective).Unfortunately catalytic heaters for backpacking are no longer made. There is still a stock of US Coleman propane cylinders (the green ones) heaters that are very difficult to find in Europe. Campingaz has had for a very short time a fantastic catalytic heater (the BlueCat: Campingaz BlueCat Heater that used their CV blue disposable butane/propane cartriges. But the BlueCat is impossible to find now so we are left with this SunnGas radiant heater. This SunnGas heater is lightweight and can be carried for backpacking and Winter camping in Europe. It uses the standard EN417 butane/propane cylinders (Coleman, Primus, MSR, etc), but I prefer to use it with an Edelrid adaptor and a blue Campingaz CV disposable cartiage.By the way, it's very important not to touch the burner with your hands or with the matches, or it will get polluted.

It worked once and no response from seller
Would of giving this no star if possible. Bought this for my son last Christmas and it worked once. Emailed the seller three times but no response unfortunately. It does have a year's guarantee but out of date soon.

Not enough heat.
The heater is OK, I thought it would throw out a bit more heat then it does, seems like you have to have it quite close and on for ages before you and really feel any heat.

Just the job
We decided we needed a heater after a very cold weekends tent camping in Wales. Howling winds and driving rain or a "British summer" as its known found My wife and me huddled up in our bed wearing socks and extra clothing, even our dog got under the covers. After reading reviews and many hours of internet searching we decided on this parabolic reflector heater and it was tested on a recent weeks camping in Norfolk in July, a week that felt more like January, we certainly can pick the good weather for our trips. The heater was terrific instant heat from the reflector bowl and it doesn't need to be maxed out to rapidly heat our tent. Its very well made and quite economical on gas, we only used one 500gram cartridge in a week. The only bad point is, be careful moving it around after its lit because sloshing the gas around can make it flare. We give it 5 stars non the less because it makes great toast and crumpets, tie a fork to a stick and toast away...Dave...

Solidly built and of high power
The heater is really well built and throws out a lot of heat. I bought it as a good way of keeping warm whilst eating outside using up the last fraction of gas in the screw on countainers mostly used on my small gas BBQ.It's win win for me and my wife doesn't have to wrap up as evening draws nearer.
