Does this pass nhbc standards, we've been told we would void the warranty if we boarded the loft but i'm wondering if this is a solution.

LoftZone does not affect the NHBC warranty, and is in fact the only product with industry approval for lofts in new build houses. If you're using standard 1220x325x18mm loft boards, you'd need 15 of them (5 packs of 3)

what is the dimension of the tri support, would this fit for joint of 33-35mm, would 18 x 600 x 2400mm chipboard fit?

The design of the support makes it suitable for any joist width. I'm sure the positions of the support system can be adjusted to suit the size of the loft boards.

Could you use something like this in the garden to sit planters on?

No, and I have no idea why you would really. This is for use inside. It is not waterproof and has to be assembled to look like the pic. Is made stable by fixing it to joists in the loft, where it does an excellent job of boarding, for storage! Planters in the garden are best sitting on ‘feet’ to allow water to drain through the drainage holes.
