This meat chopper is now an essential item in our kitchen and the utensil I never knew I needed until I got one. We use it when making anything with ground beef (chilli or bolognese etc) as it is excellent at breaking up larger chunks of meat and saves time when browning the meat.

I use for mashing vegetables instead of hand blender machine (save a time), it mashes quite well but not completely very fine as thin, it just coarse. Maybe I have to add water or other kind of liquid such as oil and mash it for several minutes, I'll see. And I have not tried to mash the meat yet but will have a go and hope it works. Overall, it's just fine and quite quick to mash it. Additionally, the side of blades aren't sharp as they're smooth but only the round corners are fairly sharp (not too sharp but you could feel it), so just be careful.

I purchased this product because, in addition to being marketed as a meat masher, it was also labeled as a potato masher in other listings. However, after testing it, I found it impractical for mashing potatoes. While it does break them down to some extent, achieving a smooth, fluffy mashed potato consistency still requires removing the potatoes and finishing the process with a fork or another tool. As for its function as a meat masher, I personally don’t see much use for it when dealing with freshly ground meat. During cooking (such as when making a Bolognese sauce), minced meat naturally separates on its own while being sautéed, making the tool somewhat redundant in this context. However, in some countries, ground meat is sold in tightly packed casings, similar to sausage, which can make it more compact and difficult to break apart. In such cases, this tool could be quite useful for efficiently loosening the meat. Despite these observations, I am still satisfied with my purchase. The seller accurately described the product, and I have no complaints in that regard. The tool itself is sturdy, well-made, and of high quality, which adds to its overall value. While it may not be as versatile as I initially hoped, it serves its intended purpose well for those who need it.

I've only used it on ground meat but if you like a fine crumb for your chili and spaghetti sauce then it does an excellent job in half the time, compared to a kitchen spatula.
