Metra 99-7874 Single/Double DIN Installation Kit for 2008-2009 Honda Accord Vehicles with o Dual-Zone Climate Controls

Works great, fitment is on point, and the color is perfect!

The mounting of the Double DIN audio system and dash fit were excellent. The color is a little lighter than the original but is darker than the alternate aftermarket kit made by Scosche. The retaining clips from the original dash unit need to be reused for this one but even if 1 or 2 are missing it still mounts securely. The Honda replacement clips part numbers are: the 5 small ones, 90666-TA0-A11, Clip, Snap Fitting and the 4 larger ones, 90666-TA0-A21, Clip, Snap Fitting. Since the dash display will no longer function after the upgrade, a Garmin GPS Navigator System can be externally mounted in front of the non-working display. The power cable can be permanently routed to the center console aux car charger outlet and drilling a hole for the Mini-B USB plug which connects in back of the GPS device.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Color is very near OEM. The fit is a 9/10 with some edges sticking out a bit. If you’re installing a touch screen unit you will have to clip a bracket and shave some off for it to fit. Some units are a bit bigger nowadays so the fit might not be perfect but it gets the job done and better than any other.

Easy to install. Instructions were very good and clear. Easy to make into double din. The color is just a hair off. The fitment is pretty good. Just a hair off in certain spots. This was my first time doing anything like this and it went great!

Just right, the hardest part was getting the steering wheel controls to work, but I did it!

The good and the bad. With most modern stock car radios they are intergraded with the factory trims by doing so making it hard to switch out the stock radio unlike older cars from the 1990's. This trim panel make things easier to switch out the radio without doing any modifying to the stock trim and returning it back to stock when the time comes. So here is the good and the bad with this trim. The good: inexpensive, easy to install, somewhat easy to mount the new aftermarket radio, double (request cutting) Vs. single din. The bad: The fit and finish is horrible (gaps, uneven hight from trim to dash), color don't match to factory trims. knob to turn on fan sticks. All and all... I would rate it at 3.5 stars mainly do to the fit and finish.. but what would you expect from an aftermarket part.
