I attempted to plug in two external monitors using HDMI cables into the hub, then plugged the hub's USB-C into my Surface Pro 9. It did not work. Returned product.Update: I did order a replacement to try. Second one did not work for my setup either.

I bought this to enable two monitors to be used from a laptop for work purpose and this worked like a treat and a good price at the time too. Only concern I had was that it gets rather warm after a full work day use. Also, you need to support it as with the cables attached, it does strain the laptop USB C port.

Perfect for my requirement. Light and easy to use. I wanted something to use with my Samsung galaxy tab when on holiday and this is a brilliant addition to my kit. Would recommend.

Using to work from home with my laptop. Plan to use two hdmi screens in future, but right now one of my screens is a VGA monitor/connection.Windows *extends* from my laptop to these two screens, with all screens displaying different images (A, B, C as described elsewhere). Device is lightweight, but attractive and seems reasonably solid. Usb c cable that you plug into laptop could be longer ideally, but you can buy extender cables fairly cheap and I'm not bothered enough to do that. Haven't tried any other functionality.

Works a treat - allows me to extend my laptop screen onto two extra monitors.
