theBalm Mad Lash Mascara

Ahhh I have finally found the mascara I've been looking for!! I feel like I've tried a million over the last couple years and had come to the conclusion that, no matter what you spend, they're all alike. I always thought I had pretty nice eyelashes, but I feel like my mascara always makes them look clumpy and blah. I had never heard of theBalm before when I came across it on Amazon, but I was struck by all the reviews from people who got it in their Ipsy box and ended up purchasing it. I figured it couldn't hurt to try; it's more expensive than a mascara you'd get in the drug store, but still relatively low cost compared to what you could spend. After using it for a few days, I am in love! I think it must have something to do with the thin curved wand, but this mascara goes on so easily and actually lengthens my eyelashes and thickens them without making them clumpy. Seriously, every time I look in the mirror, I'm so happy because my eyelashes finally look how I want them to look. It comes off easily with my makeup remover and when I wake up in the morning, I don't have to use more makeup remover, like I have with mascaras in the past. I also love that the mascara is cruelty-free. So happy I discovered this!

Been using this mascara since high-school which was more than 10 years ago I tried expensive mascaras but always came back to this mascara, mascara is usually the only makeup I wear so im picky when it comes to mascaras. I also don't like writing reviews but this brand deserves it for their great formula & how it lengthens & separates my lashes. & of course the cute packaging on it I'm so glad they never changed it who doesn't love cute product packaging that you get to see everyday & also a great price especially with the 2 pack. Thanks for being the best mascara all throughout my teenage years & now adulthood. Also gifted this to my mom back in high-school & she loves it she would always wear her lancome mascara until I put her onto this one. Love theBalm💋 you guys are the best❤️

I like this mascara way more than i thought i would! I haven’t noticed any flaking or smearing! I use with the essence lash princess primer and it looks incredible. It’s definitely not super dramatic but it gives the open eye fresh face effect i need for day to day :)

I have been using this mascara for several years and I like it that it is waterproof and cruelty free. It stays on all day and it lengthens my lashes enough to open up my eyes and make them look bigger. I have tried other products like this, but I keep coming back to this one. It' very reasonable priced too. It doesn't smudge or clump. I will get it again unless they change something I don't like.

This has been my go-to brand for mascara for probably 10+ years. In college, I developed an allergy to most mascaras (I'm still not sure which ingredient I am allergic to). I would get a terribly itchy rash on my eyelids with other brands. I switched to this brand and haven't looked back. The price is very reasonable, application is smooth and easy and the result is fabulous. But best of all, this one doesn't give me a rash or make me itchy. The only downside is the containers seem to dry out fairly quickly but probably not any faster than any other brand. I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a great price for a good product.

This mascara was wayyyy black, which I loved, and really only required one coat to add good length and volume, but what I liked about it really ended there. The brush is super thin with tiny bristles and I felt the "squeegee" inside the bottle to take off excess wasnt tight enough. This meant that in order to not glob on large amounts and look like a spider queen I needed to take a paper towel and blot most of the mascara off the brush. This was very wasteful and I could see myself going through tubes lightning fast. I also felt that if i wanted to apply more than one coat, i had to be very quick otherwise it would clump and my laahes would stick together. The last issue I had was that it was VERY transferrable once it got a little wet. Rain, tears, whatever. I'd have it all over the area under my eyebrows and under my eyes if I was crying. Now, it didnt say it was waterproof or resistant so I understand that to a point. All in all, this mascara is great if you're looking for a lot of drama with length and volume and only want to apply one coat. For me, it was a little too dramatic and didn't have enough staying power for my rollercoaster of a life.

Like many others, I found this in my ipsy bag and fell in looove with it ever since! Previously, I have been switching between Too Faced's Better than Sex, Benefit's Rollerlash, and Maybelline's Lash Sensational mascara. For 2 years, I was committed to Maybelline's Lash sensational but there's something about the wand and the formula of Mad Lash that makes my lashes plump right up. I have short, straight, lashes and Mad Lash combined with my Diorshow maximizer plumper makes my lashes look long, thick, feathery and (sometimes fake). The formula itself is wet, but never clumpy. The bristles of the brush get every one of my lashes coated and the rounded end of the brush is perfect for applying the mascara vertically or getting the hard-to-reach corners in order to really make my lashes pop. The shape of the brush is perfect for holding it at the base of your lashes and then sweeping it u. The formula isn't waterproof, however, it does have quite the staying power and does not smudge on me. My lashes hold a curl for over 10+ hours from work to yoga. On days when I want to wear minimal make-up, this does the trick by making my eyes look more awake. At under $18, this is a ridiculous steal. I highly recommend! PS: they're cruelty-free!

Best I’ve found for my lash type in a long time. I have relatively thick long lashes that can clump together easily. With this, No clotting or clumping. Brush spreads evenly. Lasts all day. Cleans off easily. Love it.

Don't even get me going on this mascara. I have tried MANY. All the luxury brands from Sephora you can imagine -but this is it. The mascara is relatively inexpensive for the quality. Lashes stay lengthy and full all day long. This product results in beautiful long lashes with NO clumping.
