No 10Gbps support, odd placement of ports but it works
As other reviewers have said, it doesn't support 10Gbps but all the ports work at 5Gbps. Did not try 4K at 120HZ. Remember the picture of the hub is backward meaning if you plug it from the back, the 2 USB C ports and the HDMI port will face away from the back of your laptop and makes the PD and USB A port placement a bit odd to use. If this was laid out in a straight line, it would have been much easier to use.

Won't run multiple displays
I tried to run 2 displays to my laptop using HDMI to C-type to the 2 available C-type ports on the dongle and PC won't recognize the video input.

Monitor keeps losing sync, constantly goes on and off
Using with a M1 MacMini. The USB-C ports seem to work well, but the LG 4k monitor keeps going on and off when set to 1440 at either 30 or 60Hz. Also tried with different HDMI cables and on an Acer 1440 monitor at 60@Hz and got the same thing. Returning...

Variety!
Man, this thing is a dream. It's simple and lightweight, made of tough stuff, and has so many different ports on it you'll wonder how you ever got by without it. You will need a USB-C port though to get started. From there you'll have access to high-speed transfer of 10 Gbps and 8k on the HDMI port. It also comes with a single USB-A port and two other USB-C ports. I love that it can accommodate multiple types of technology and the fact that it's USB-C centric future proofs you and sets you up for the coming wave of technology.I recommend it. You'll appreciate it how it optimizes your computer workspace and allows you to connect more devices all at once. Thanks for reading and I hope this helps

Worked well for me, but there are better values out there
As an Apple MacBook owner, the need for additional ports is very real. MacBooks don't have the ports that most people still use, so a USB-C hub is an absolute necessity. Since I bought my MacBook in 2021, I have picked up at least three other USB-C hubs. The first two stopped working after a few months and the third one never worked consistently.I've held off on reviewing this for months because I wanted to see if it would still be going after some time. It has now been over 3 months, and every port on this hub still works as it should. The only thing I have not tested is the 8K capability of the HDMI port. I don't own any 8K devices yet, so I can't comment on that, but every other port is good. My only problem with the hub is the value. There are similar hubs out there that appear to do the same thing for less money. That said, perhaps that is why the previous hubs I bought didn't last.

Very Handy Hub
Computer makers love to remove ports, but I find that to be annoying sometimes. This hub let me connect all of my devices with one plug, which makes it much easier to take my laptop with me.

Works fine, had to flip the cable over to get it recognized
The main connector cable on this dock is a USB type C cable so it should be double-sided of course. Well when I first plugged this in to my laptop, nothing was recognized. I thought I had a dead device, but I read in the product description to try and flip the cable over. I flipped it, and suddenly everything was working. This is an incompetent and and inferior design and if I had known about that issue, I would not have ordered this hub. However, aside from that issue, this hub works fine. I haven't tested any data transfer speeds - so far, the devices that are connected to this hub are a keyboard, mouse, headphones, and webcam. All of them are working correctly.

Great hub on paper, has some HDMI issues...
I bought this hub because I wanted to have all of the cables I currently individually plug into my MAC hidden away underneath, and 1 cable to plug it into as I regularly switch between two different macbooks. This hub has all the cable ports I needed in theory. 100W Power Delivery = great, 2 extra USB-C ports = great. But once everything was plugged in, the monitor (a 1080p monitor) signal kept going black for a few seconds every 10 seconds or so. I tried all the HDMI cables I own, standard ones, plus HDMI 2.1 cables, all would do the same thing leading me to believe it was the HUB.If I didn't need the HDMI port, this HUB would be great.

No 4K output. Data speeds more like 5Gbps. Good charging & Ethernet (via adapter) performance.
This quite a compact USB-C hub, making it ideal for travel, and you get the following ports:1. USB-C PD 100W2. 2 x USB- C 3.1 Gen2x1 10Gbps3. 1 x USB-A4. 1 x 8K@30Hz HDMII want to tackle the single USB-A port first, as there is a lot of conflicting information about this. In one of the photos it labelled 3.2, another shows 10Gbps and then in the “About this item” section it is called a USB-A 3.2. If in fact it is a 10Gbps port, then it is a USB-A 3.1 Gen2x1.I plugged this into a modern Windows 11 laptop and then into the hub I connected a portable 15.6” 4K monitor via the HDMI port, NVMe drive via USB-C 3.1 Gen2x1, NVMe drive via USB-A 3.1 Gen2x1, 100W GaN II charger via PD and an Ethernet cable (using a Ethernet to USB-C adapter) to the other USB- C 3.1 Gen2x1.This hub is supposed to be able to handle 8K@30Hz, but with my laptop screen at 2880x1800@90Hz, I could only get 1080p@60Hz out to the monitor. With other hubs, I have been able to run the monitor and an additional monitor both at 4K@60Hz. Despite going into Advanced Display options, 4K was not there. Both the NVMe drives were housed in 10Gbps external enclosure’s, with one drive running up to 6600MB/s and the other 4800MB/s. The performance through both the ports was not that good, with both drives running at around 435MB/s Read and 440MB/s Write speeds. Clearly, being external, they are not going to perform anywhere near there max speeds, but these are more inline with a SSD. I would get the same performance from 5Gbps ports. Ok, it not also about top speed. I did simultaneously copy 3 x 770MB MP4 files across the each of the NVMe drives and in real time there were running at about 300MB/s.Power delivery was good, with everything connected up, apart from the monitor, the hub was pulling through about 85W.As I mentioned, I did use one of the ports as a hard wire for an Ethernet cable and speeds were very good here. Download was over 600Mbps and Upload just over 50Mbps.This is a neat, compact hub with a decent amount of ports but the lack of 4K output to my monitor and the fact that the 10Gbps ports performed no better than 5Gbps ones, leaves me less than convinced.I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. Thanks for reading.

Good quality but ports in the ‘wrong’ place
This is a good Hub providing an HDMI connection (to add another screen), two USB C connections (for accessories), a USB A connection (for older accessories) and a USB C power connection. This is perfect for use with my Macbook as I regularly use different accessories and it’s nice to not have to keep swapping things over every time. Each connector worked well and I certainly don’t have any complaints about the effectiveness of the Hub. There was no power drain and I found that using any combinations of the ports at the same time caused me no issues. The Hub looks and feel sleek - if a little bit different to other Hubs I have owned and used. While the connectors are all useful the overwhelming downside for me is that the attached accessories need to be in the wrong place for my preferred set-up. For example, when connected to an HDMI source (which would would normally be at the rear) the USB connections would also be at the rear, while the natural position for accessories would be at the front or side of my computer. It is not easy to keep the cables in a neat order as is the case with a more ‘traditional’ design. The price (£32 at the time of my review) is, I feel, a decent price for what you get. The whole look, feel, quality and functionality of the product is top notch. Personally - and this will be different for everyone and every preferred set-up - the placement of the ports just wasn’t ideal for me. 4 stars.

Sleek, compact USB-C Hub
This USB-C Hub transfers and backs up large files in seconds for high-speed data sharing. The TECHTOBOX hub is compatible with almost all USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 and 4 devices, including MacBook Pro/Air/M1/M2, iMac, iPad, Chromebooks, Surface, Dell, HP, and Lenovo. It includes a built-in high-end decoding solution that instantly converts the device's USB-C ports into an HDMI port with up to 8K resolution. Two USB-C Gen 2 ports and a USB-A 3.2 port support an incredible 10 Gbps transfer rate. Also, a 100W high-speed charging port equipped with a new generation super-smart chip.I like to take photos and videos everywhere when I'm on vacation. As a result, hubs make it much easier to reconnect all of my other devices to my laptop for free storage space. There are numerous USB-C hub options available, but the case quality of this one is exceptional. It is also a plug-and-play device that does not require the installation of any drivers or software.Because this hub is light and compact, I can quickly bring it for travel and store it. This one was made of hollow metal, superior to other plastic-made items I had previously used. It is pretty convenient, as it expands the usability of my laptop's USB-C port to recognize more connections. So far, it smoothly transfers files from my phone or camera with no lags and disconnections. Fast charging is also supported, as is full 8K resolution. However, because the cable connector is short, it would have been preferable if it had been braided to make it more flexible.Overall, everything works as it should and it's a nice solution so worth checking out.

A little different.
USB hubs is a busy segment, with lots to choose from.Having reviewed many - coming across a slightly different design is interesting. It is however no worse nor better for that, and it presents with the short connection lead, and in the usual alloy grey shell. That said the basic metrics still apply, the question is really how many extra monitors do you wish to drive? Here your high value USB C port on your device ( you need at least data and display, or better ) can be leveraged through a HDMI port to drive an 8K screen at 30 Hz.That's actually good, provided you wish to drive the one extra display. The other ports are various USB, and there is a pass through power port, so you can used this hub and charge your device at the same time up to 100w.That's good - but a common enough. This is located on the cable side.Where this hub I think stands out (subjective design aside) is the USB data ports. There's a single USB A 3.1 port (with the indicative orange colour) to the cable side, and the HDMI port side there are two USB C Gen 2 ports, these three ports then can transfer data at a theoretical 10Gbps (so twice that of "old" USB 3.0)If USB 3.2 (gen 1) speeds are important for you, so transferring to and from external drives etc then this is a useful doo-dad, but to justify the asking price you need to want to drive an extra monitor too, as you can get 10Gps hubs for less.Equally if you want more monitor ports -- you'd be paying more. And there are other ports many hubs provide - this doesn't have, notably a RJ45 Ethernet socket. That is however par to the course when choosing a hub, it is really as simple as what connections and standard of port are needed - when navigating the choices out there. In conclusion this hub has only the five ports, but each socket is of a high standard.
