Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters [Blu-ray]

Having just watched both this sequel and the first film with my two younger nephews I think this is one of those rare occurrences where the sequel is as good, if not better, than the first one! A really fun film from start to finish with great effects and action scenes and these films are a really good way to get younger children into Greek mythology - having learnt a lot about the subject growing up I loved how excited my nephews were to learn more about the Gods and their adventures after we watched these films. Just a shame they are not making a third one!

Really enjoyed this film! The story was just as strong, if not stronger than the first one which can be unusual for sequels. Perhaps because all the character introduction business was got out of the way with the first instalment...The ending was also good and left open if they want to carry the series on. Good sense of humour and good casting nice to see the same actors back on board!

Seemed a little better than the first film (stronger story line) but still only qualifies as an OK film. Another reviewer here put it well by mentioning the strong similarity with the early Harry Potter films in the action scenes and general themes. Still, probably good fare for pre- to mid-teens. I can add that the visual effects seem pretty good ...although for no apparent reason the film would not play in HD via Amazon Instant Video, so I have to stick with the verdict that the FX just look "pretty good".

Having been schooled in Greek Mythology I saw quite a lot of this coming but it was still entertaining none the less. I watched this directly after watching the first Percy Jackson film and they flowed into one an other very well. It has a host of great well known actors and some excellent young ones. Both films seen with a book on Greek Mythology would make an entertaining bank holiday weekend for the younger and older people in your home.

Amazon never fail to satisfy my needs. They deliver within said time, the item is always well packaged and they are extremely competative with their pricing. I always try them first before anywhere else. I recommend to all my family and friends to do the same. However, I have the first one for Percy Jackson - The Lightening Thief and thought I would get this one so I would have the full set. Although this was good it did not have the wow factor as much as the first one.

If I hadn't read the book then this would have been an easy 5 stars as it's a great film and a really fun watch. BUT when compared to the book, unfortunately there were huge chunks of the plot missing and some of the best characters, sub plots and most of the best comedic moments have been ditched completely.

I do love a good 3D action movie and while this was better than the first Percy Jackson movie it still lacks something - not sure if it is the lead actor who is clearly supposed to be young however some of the actions and things he says are just a bit incongruous and makes it feel odd.Also it is a shame that having read all of the Percy Jackson books that they appear to have scrapped this movie franchise already

Nonostante la critica e i fan della saga abbiano demolito la reputazione del film, ho comunque voluto acquistarlo per avere la collezione completa!Dopo aver letto tutti i libri e visto il primo film urgeva l'acquisto del secondo.Note negative: non aspettatevi la stessa storia del secondo capitolo di percy Jackson trasposta nel film! Assolutamente tutta un'altra storia.

Decisamente peggio del precedente: i (troppi) effetti speciali non reggono una storia che non sta in piedi e troppi personaggi insulsi. Se il primo almeno un tentativo di mantenere un tenue aggancio a una storia mitologica (quella del viaggio degli eroi greci come pur mescolando le vicende di diversi semidei), qui rimangono solo qualche personaggio preso più per il potenziale a farne un effetto speciale che altro. Comunque i ragazzi si divertono (ma anche secondo loro è meglio il primo) e per questo ho messo due stelle.

They made a real effort to realize a large calibre movie, but still it is a little bit weak, like Chronicles of Narnia. Nice idea behind the movie, not very convincing at times, spectacular at others, rather inconsistent. The characters are not easy to assimilate as you watch the movie. But still I like that kind of fantastic, irrealistic movie. My 14 year old son agrees with me: Not a 4 stars.

I haven't read the books, so I have nothing to compare to, but I thought the movie was a lot of fun to watch with my 7 year old. He loved it.The 3D was some of the most lackluster I've ever seen from a Blu Ray though. You could easily skip the 3D version and just pick up the cheaper 2D version. (and this is from a guy that needs to have everything in 3D). The trailers before the movie had way better 3D than the actual movie.If you liked the first movie, I don't think you'll be disappointed with Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters.

FIlm peggiore del precedente, di cui ripete gli schemi, condendoli con svariate macchiette della commedia classica. Che dire, ai bambini comunque piace, ma anche loro non lo rivedrebbero e trovano alcuni passaggi risibili.

Comprato il dvd per le mie figlie amanti della serie Percy . Carino il film audio buono. Spedizione e imballo perfetti

For me this movie was okay,but for my husband and the young grandkids it was great. All the boys sat right down with their popcorn and drinks and didn't move again until it was over. They all were really excited about all the action and talked alot about it when it was over. I wouldn't watch it again but they already have. Glad they enjioyed it and would recommend it to any family.

ho ordinato il secondo film della saga perché mi sono innamorata del primo, e nonostante preferisca quell'altro, anche questo è davvero bello. Inoltre la spedizione è stata molto rapida e il dvd era in perfette condizioni, nessun graffio e perfettamente sigillato. Come da negozio!

...hab bereits den ersten Teil gesehen und fand ihn unterhaltsam. Bin ganz happy endlich den zweiten Teil der Percy Jackson Reihe zu haben. Da ich die Bücher nicht kenne, kann ich nur nach dem gefällt oder gefällt nicht Verfahren beurteilen - wie man sieht gabs von mir 5 Sterne...Hoffendlich gibt's noch nen Teil!

Le DVD est arrivé dans les temps, bien emballé et en bon état. Le film est amusant et bien fait, avec un peu trop d'effets spéciaux tout de même. Ce n'est pas vraiment une adaptation du livre, le film s'en éloignant vraiment beaucoup, mais il est tout de même agréable à regarder si l'on oublie le roman (et que l'on est fan de l'histoire). J'espère tout de même qu'il y aura un jour une véritable adaptation cinématographique du roman en film, les 5 tomes sont tellement bien et l'histoire parait tout de même adaptable sans en changer toutes les péripéties !

Dvd arrivato come di consueto nei tempi previsti e perfettamente imballato. Subito visionato con i miei figli. Per gli amanti della saga è da vedere.Consigliato

è il sequel di Percy Jackson e il ladro di fulmini, quindi prima dovete vedere il 1° film! è molto bello, ma l'unica pecca è che il finale è aperto e per motivi di budget non ci sarà un seguito. Ho dato 3 stelle solo per questo.

dieser film kann auf jeden fall mit dem 1. teil mithalten und ich kann nicht sagen (so wie es sonst meist der fall ist), dass der 2. teil weniger gut als der 1. teil ist. wer teil 1 gesehen hat, sollte sich auf jeden fall auch teil 2 ansehen.artikel ist im guten zustand und schnelle lieferung.
