easy to get great results
This is a really nice, functional set. I live alone, and this is more than large enough to grow as much as I can use. Well designed, they drain well...and blend in just fine on my kitchen counter. I have only lentil and mung beans...both sprouted very well...with fully developed healthy looking sprouts. I have a huge garden...but I don't grow lettuce anymore. I like the sprouts better

Great purchase.
I haven't home sprouted since the early 1970s, so was unsure if I would keep up with the daily rinse. The system works so well, that I am stoked about buying these jars.

A great Sprout Growing System
This was my first try at growing sprouts and I couldn’t e happier with this setup. It give you everything you need to product an ample supply of sprouts.Cover for the first three days and then uncover for the last two and you get a great batch of sprouts every time.

Might Be Wasted Money
I wanted these to work so badly but small trays I already have work better. The issue I had with these is that they rot the seed covers when they fall loose and they need more careful attention than my trays did, but they are too cramped for these mung beans. Mung beans took more time than claimed to produce sprouts in this method and they were all curled up inside the containers. Now I am left with overpriced jars with covers and a tray with a rack and I’m not sure what to use them for. Instead I bought a large two-piece collendar for mung beans and burlap with plates to weight them down, a towel to cover it all. This way the beans can still breathe and will lay flat and not curl as they did in the jars. I'll check and water once per day and let the burlap keep them damp. This seems more simple and I've seen this done with success. I suppose now I'll use the neoprene covers as huge beverage koozies? Maybe I'll try growing something else like red arrow radish sprouts because the mesh strainer holes are simply too large for broccoli or alfalfa seeds. We'll see but I haven't entirely given up yet. If there is a way to use these I'll find it eventually.

Great kit for beginners
I bought this kit, but you really don’t need the stand. You can just use any plastic container with low sides and tip the jars at an angle. I’m successfully sprouting regularly now and it’s great! Broccoli sprouts have the highest sulforaphane content. I use about 3 tablespoons of seeds and soak overnight. I count the next day as my 1st sprouting day. In 3-4 days, I have filled the jar to capacity with fresh sprouts. Lay them on a paper towel in a rectangular glass food container and keep in the fridge up to 5 days or so.
