I started with a point to point system because I thought it would be stronger than a general wifi broadcast but it never would align and work. I hooked this system up and it is sending 100 to 200 MBPS internet speeds over to my extender, which I then use to connect a deco mesh system to that. It is a lot of parts and unfortunately it is a lot of broadcast individual wifis but the result is good fast internet to another large home on my property that has many connected devices. The second home is roughly 100 feet from this but has a couple of trees and obviously a wall between it.

**UPDATE**After posting this review, Wavlink customer service contacted me and asked me if I would be willing to try again. I said yes. So when I received the new product and went through the setup process, it worked flawlessly. They provided me with a direct phone number to call if I had any issues. I am extremely satisfied with the product now that I have one that actually works!Item did not work. I went through the setup and could never get the unit to be recognized by my wifi. I even hard wired it yo no avail. Customer service was not able to help so I ended up sending it back.

Works great. I had to buy two of them my grandson knocked the first one off the table and broke it other than that works real well

I bought the AX1800 for my houseboat. The wi-fi signal at my marina is very weak due to the distance away from my boat. I was looking for a the unit that wood boost the existing signal and give me better wi-fi coverage on my boat.I contacted wavlink technical support before i purchased anything and they helped me to make the right decision based on my needs.When I opened the box I was surprised at the size of the unit, as it's pretty large (rough dimensions 10" x 27").As I read through the installation procedures, I realized I was over my head right away so I called the wavlink help number.Technical support was fantastic as they walked me through the programming portion of the installation and the unit was up and running within 15 minutesCons:The ethernet cable that is supplied is pretty short, so I bought a longer one to get the POE to a dry location. I didn't like the mounting slots on the back of the unit. I didn't trust them to hold the unit securely with the movement of the boat or severe weather. So I came up with an alternative, more secure mounting design.Pro:I now have wi-fi in areas of my boat that I never had before. Previously my signal strength from the marina was a strength of 2, with the wavlink ax1800 i am now at a signal strength of 6 throughout the entire boat.I would have given it a five, but the mounting design could be improved.

The set up should be very easy but it was turn out to be very complicate. The end coupling M25x1.5 to protect weather ethernet cable to the unit was too small. The end ethernet connection cannot go through the hole. It was a bad design. Cannot get 5G Wifi and trying to get product support but there was no answer and called Wavlink technical support but no answer either so will try to work and see if it did not work I will return it.Updated my review: Wavlink technical support called me and couldn't help me to set up to get 5G wifi. I will try it myself and if I cannot make it work I will return it. See attached pictures that the end female couple will not fit end of ethernet cable that will be connected to the unit because the hole was too small.

This exceeded my expectations. We needed to set up remote cameras in our goats barn to keep an eye on the does during kidding season. The wireless signal from the house just didn't quite reach. This fixed our issue and now we can stream multiple cameras, in HD, with no problems.Easy to set up if you are familiar with networking equipment. The case seems very durable. It may seem a bit on the pricy side but it delivers a good value. Strong recommendation.

One of those few items that work exactly how you want them to and is still working perfect 6 mos. later and has had no issues with below zero weather, snow, and rain. This has given me internet access on my entire 4 acre property where I have no cell coverage. Now I'm able to use wifi calling and texting all day.
