These refills are great and just as durable as the original ink wells. You do have to let it dry for about 30 seconds so it has smear resistance, but that's what you get when you have such nice flow. This makes it easy to write with. It fits well into the pen and is easy to change. I also recommend this for art because you have control on ink flow when writing by pressing harder or softer. You don't have to press hard for good flow making it great for my partial lack of hand control.

We love the Pilot Precise V5 pens, so it's nice to have refills for them. Good product!

I love all these Pilot pens, the V5 AND the V7. I was especially happy to find refills because the pens are quite nice and it's such a waste to toss them when the ink runs out. These are typical gel pens, and like any gel pen, it doesn't play well with water, but that isn't its purpose. Keep that in mind if you need permanent ink. NOW... if they'd only start to make the peacock blue refills, I'd be REALLY happy! I just hate tossing perfectly good pens because a refill is not available. Pilot, are you listening? Maybe they just don't sell enough peacock-ink pens to justify making refills in that color.

I'm not an absolute snob about it, but when I find a pen I like, I stick with it - and I like this one. The fine point goes well with my grubby little handwriting, and draws a solid black. Unfortunately, the styles I like don't always stay in stores all that long, so I have to find new 'likes' more often than I want. With this bunch of refills, I won't be looking again any time soon. And, when the cartridge dries up, I won't be throwing away the whole pen body with it. Nothing really gets thrown "away", it just gets thrown into the future. That a place where a number of people important to me will be spending a lot of time (I hope), and I'm trying not to clutter it up too much. -- wiredweird

I love being able to replace the ink with a refill rather than toss the whole pen. And it is my pen of choice.

We love Pilot pens, have used them for years. I'm thrilled to get ink refills. But going to the trouble of a buying/inserting a refill is part money-minded, and part ECO-minded. So I'm not just tossing perfectly good pen casings into the garbage and landfill. So WHY does Pilot package their ink refills in dinky cardboard and plastic packages, 2 per package?? Much worse than the packaging for the pens themselves, which come in a simple cardboard box. Plus a hassle to extract the ink from all their packaging. Come on guys! Give us 12 ink cartridges in a plastic bag, in case of leaks, and everyone will be happier. Thank you for the great pens!

These refills are for a Pilot Precise V5 RT. I do a lot of writing! Of all the different pens I’ve used over the years, these are the ones with the least resistance on the paper. No pressure is required. The ink flows so easily. Those of you who write a lot know how important it is to not have to push the pen across the paper. One caution: don’t get any liquid near the ink. It will blur into nothingness instantly. But I sure love writing with them.
