Impressed with quality and looks
Excellent quality and beautiful clear sound with a deep bass on ALL output. This unit would fit in with any decor and is easy enough to set up and start using. It is important to read the manual to learn what the buttons do at the start and when you have the confidence with it very shortly afterwards you have a very satisfying deep sounding (and potentially loud) hi fi unit that looks refined and gives out some clout. It has a lovely matt wooden finish and is generally attractive and nice to look at.The unit is easy enough to set up and everything you need is supplied in its sturdy box.Panasonic quality device AGAIN Looks very impressive.

Nice little CD player
I recently purchased this for my son as he was wanting a cd player because he’s started amassing himself a collection, so I asked him what kind he wanted and he said just a small one that doesn’t take up much space. So I showed him this one and he said it would be perfect, so I promptly ordered it and it arrived safely the next day. Out of the box it wasn’t complicated to set up, just a power cable, a remote and an Ariel. Not too many buttons on the unit and the unit looked very nice in his room with all his other bits of tech.Overall the sound is excellent for such a small unit which plays cd’s, has a dab+ radio, and you can stream and connect via Bluetooth too!All in all a nice little music system that performs well and is great value for the price, highly recommended if you’re looking for something smaller.

Panasonic DAB radio with CD
This is Panasonic at their best has everything you would want CD / DAB radio and a clock display with great sound and a nice size that would fit most places not at all expensive and great for listening to your cd and radio yes would definitely recommend this one …

Panasonic sc 202
Good sound quality for size. Aerial very delicate but works well when correctly positioned. Display too small. Pity the aux input is at the front of the unit instead of the rear because it spoils the appearance when placed on display. The blurb incorrectly states that the aerial socket is f type. The socket is standard aerial type!Summary: Good quality kit which suits my requirements in the main. Recommended.

Poor sound.
It sounds flat and annoying to listen to. Not relaxing at all, like having a fly or bee in the room you can't settle! ... It's not the speaker size, my cheaper Bose computer speakers (which have a similar width between them) have far more depth and give out good sound at both lower and higher volumes. They are relaxing to listen to, whereas this has a harsh sound and only has depth at higher volumes. It's probably fine for a living room hi fi (I assume the reviewers saying it sounds good listen to it fairly loud), if you don't want a beefier setup, but for a bedroom or office IMO it's not suitable. At background level volumes it sounds incredibly thin and tinny. Vocals sounds weak, too, like they do from a phone speaker only louder. Combined with all the faff others have mentioned (the button presses on the remote often don't register and I couldn't get any DAB stations, despite my old Philips DAB radio getting them clearly in the same place), I can't recommend this at all.

A versatile mini hi-fi unit
My Panasonic mini system (SA-PM4DB) had given some 25 years of excellent service but its aged showed when the CD player skipped or missed entire tracks. The FM/DAB (not DAB+) still works well but some favourite DAB stations had migrated to DAB+. Time then to find a new mini hi-fi.As an owner also of reliable Panasonic bridge and compact cameras I was happy to stay with Panasonic. This model meets my needs.I agree with other reviewers that adding presets on FM and DAB is a fiddly job and the instructions are weak in this area. In the end I got there.A strong radio signal is essential so I bought the free standing Bingfu telescopic aerial instead of using the included ‘string’ aerial.Update on the choice of aerial: the Bingfu telescopic aerial doesn’t pull in a strong radio signal where the hi-fi is located. I tested the Panasonic aerial again and found that it is satisfactory when pinned horizonally to the wall. The instructions are unclear on presets then I realised that the PGM button on the remote toggles between the current list and storing a station. It eventually dawned on me that the Play/Pause button stores a chosen station. After a frustrating half hour of trial and much error it all sank in!I’m pleased with the sound and the choice of tones which are selected with the “ EQ” rocker switch. The CD drawer is flimsy so needs to be loaded and unloaded with care not putting weight on it.Despite the shortcomings of the instructions it is a good product. I can play vinyl from my Ion turntable by Bluetooth which is very pleasing. The lack of Internet function probably keeps the price down. An unnecessary feature for me with other devices to access the Internet for radio.
