Bought this as a gift, a couple years ago, and completely forgot to post a review. I can't speak for its quality, but as I never heard any complaints, I'm assuming it's exactly what the recipient was hoping for.

We purchased the Victrola record player in October for our daughter as a Christmas present. We wanted to get ahead of the christmas shopping/market as you can imagine for fear we would miss the big day.We set the player up on Christmas morning (Dec-25th). It was working, albeit slipping but working for most part. Our daughter was so excited playing her Taylor Swift records.Unfortunately, after a few days - the record player ceased to work.Needless to say, my daughter was upset. We reached out to victrola.Long story short - victrola response was that unit is no longer under warranty (I think it was 30 days). I was really taken aback at their lack of ownership with the quality of their product - deflecting and shirking all responsibilities. See their response:[“Hi,Per your email request received we would recommend you to try using a different power cord with the same specifications if you have one available with you, and see if the unit powers on.If you are able to get the unit working with a different power cord then we can arrange to have a replacement power cord sent to you.Also, was the unit previously when working plugged directly into the wall outlet, or was it connected to a surge protector?If the unit still does not work, we request you to consult a professional electronic engineer or electronic repair shop in your area to get the unit’s issue fixed.”]They did send a cord after my wife called them, but record player did not work.As per some of the comments I see, it looks like there is a running theme/known defect with this surge protector (Victrola also queried me on this in response).Anyway - we got sick of the run-around and went and ordered from a different manufacturer. Sometimes, you just have to cut losses and know when you are going down a blind alley with customer support.

I got this as a gift for my boyfriend and he love it, the color is perfect because it blends with our decor so nicely, it is preste cheap for a record player so I wasn’t expecting anything super high quality, it is a little bit flimsy but it works fine, the sound could be louder but you can connect to an external speaker!

I've purchased 5 victrola suitcase players, all had one thing or other wrong with them, this white one has a upgraded stylus Bluetooth in and out , good sounding speakers, I've got mine connected by the RCA cables to power speakers. I learned that the RCA cables DO NOT need to be shielded RCA cables but the cheaper RCA cables, who knows why? , it just works.The sound is as good as my old audio teck turntable I had. You. Do need to ground the tone arm and that seems to be the problem with all the suitcase players I purchased. Very very happy that I finally got my system working. I have a union jack one that I broke the tone arm ,I can use it to Bluetooth to the bedroom, from this one in living room. Got a Beatles sticker and I'm loving it.
