KINGBOLEN K8 Pro OBD2 Scanner, 8'' Bidirectional Scan Tool, No Subscription

Great product, very easy to use with fluid software. There was no lagging or issues everything transitioned and worked perfectly. Reading and testing vehicles of any variety. This is a very useful tool to change parameters of the vehicle, like tire pressure monitoring, and things of that nature. Able to check and erase any type of diagnostic trouble code as well as test things like fuel system issues. I found it perfect for my jeep as it also helps straighten the steering wheel when we make changes in our suspension. It came with a variety of adapters for just about any type of vehicle and application You would need as well as a very nice case to carry everything. The huge display monitor is easy to see and very easy to use. The touchscreen works flawlessly. This would be a great tool for a shop, or even a home mechanic like myself that works on a variety of vehicles. This will be very useful very often, and will pretty much pay for itself not having to inquire mechanic charges, which are now reaching $150 an hour. Connectivity to the Wi-Fi was very easy, once I did that I went through and updated everything which took a couple of hours which is no different than when you get a new cell phone or something of that nature that has not been connected but once that was done, the updates are minimal and quick thereafter. This product will work on diesels and gasoline vehicles, which is very useful for the home mechanic or a shop since most of us own a diesel truck, as well as a car or other regular vehicles. We tested this out on an 09 Silverado diesel, a 2011 Ford diesel, as well as an 09 Mitsubishi Galant, and even a jeep wrangler all of which gave us great information and erased any old lingering trouble codes. Great price on this product with most of the high-end competitors coming in at twice the price or more it gives great value on a comparative product. You also have the ability to hook up different accessories to this available at additional purchase like an endoscope for checking inside of the motor or anywhere you might need that. Very great and useful tool. With Bidirectional functionality, you do not need to tear things apart they can be tested electronically like opening and closing of the sunroof and things of that nature. Very impressed with this and look forward to keeping things in running order very easily now.

Bought this for use in a small automotive workshop. It was cheaper than bringing my launch machine up to date and with free lifetime updates I thought it was worth a look. Used on multiple cars already and I have to say I am impressed so far. It seems faster than the launch, boots up quicker and has much longer battery life.

This tablet has SOO much. Full adapter set for older specific models and excellent support for everything modern. I was recently testing the operation of a cruise control that would self accelerate. I was able monitor multiple throttle pedal PIDS, the throttle blade itself and finally engine and vehicle speed. Being able to easily see ALL the PIDS and read them well (fast updates) pointed me exactly where I needed to be. Records and plays back your selected data with ease, no lag or delays. I couldn't imagine flipping through pages trying to align everything up by pausing on frames. Also has latest super for FCA, I'm hoping to work on a Mopar soon and try it out. Obviously this has TONS of other features and capabilities I'm not mentioning, BiDirectional Controls, Part Coding, and Dealer Customization, but I am giving a real world result I had and how well it performed for my case and I know will continue to deliver the on point results I need. Oh and I'm very eager to add some of the official accessories, such as borescope and thermal camera, to the expansion port.

I can’t say enough about the KingBolen K8 scanner! I bought it to replace my outdated Launch tool. I decided on the K8 after some reviews and the fact that it was less costly to replace the outdated Launch rather than renew the license on that unit. The K8 tablet is a sturdy Android unit and it has better WiFi pick up as compared with my old one. Easy to update and Easy to use. I can search the web for assistance with codes also. Notice that I also upgraded my TPMS scan tool as well. (Yes, it is an extra charge for the TPMS tool). The old one did not sync up with the K8. The new scan tool shows me which TPMS sensor is bad. Only thing I have not figured out yet is how to activate the Schrader Ez universal sensors. Thanks King Bolen! This scan tool combo is great.

Once received and registered, I realized the software used is the same as my discontinued Harbor Freight Zurich ZRPro from 7 YEARS AGO. It seems the software is China copied (shared?) between brands like Autel, Launch, and others, but with slightly altered main screen interfaces. I scanned each of my cars with the Kingbolen and it matched exactly to my Zurich in readout displays and feature layout. On my 2012 Volvo it had limited capability. So, I factory reseted, repackaged it like new and returned the next day. All these tablet like Android units in the $400 to $600 range are capable scanners only, some good features, and somewhat of a value. Any error codes found will send you through Google for answers. Something you can do with a $20 scanner and the internet on your phone. Know the limitations before buying. Just pick the least expensive one.

Troubleshooting a repair code couldn’t be easier with links to similar faults with online solutions others have posted. Works best with wifi or hotspot to get online repair solutions. All repairs and scans help the database for future repairs. Long battery life allows me to scan and troubleshoot all day, hard durability housing lets me play rough, not scared to place it with my wrenches. (I added screen protectors). It can be linked other useful tools like a TPMS programmer for tires and oscilloscope for probing injection/hall sensor signals. Since there are no annual subscription for this tool, you can invest that money into AUTOAUTH to unlock JEEP, CHRYSLER, FORD, NISSAN, CHEVY and have dealer access to reading NEW automobiles previously limited to dealer access. Bluetooth scanner allows me to read the car while doing a visual inspection of the car on the lift. DTC resets, and throttle body relearn for all the hot turbo cars. So many features you have to give it a try. Cost / Packaging = I love it. Thank you for bring this to market.

Good product and very helpful with 2017 Sprinter 2500 Adblue issues, however if you want a comprehensive activation features you have to move up to K10!

Am not an expert, neither am a mechanic, but this product does what it says it does, I already save a lot of money, with scanning of my trucks icu modules, is very easy to use, simple as turning it on, and start scanning your car system, I would recommend this product a 100%

Er hat mein Auto nicht erkannt, er hat erkannt, dass es ein Peugeot 5008 ist, also ein Peugeot 3008 GT. Die Übersetzung ins Serbische und Kroatische ist unvollständig, daher glaube ich, dass sie nicht wie nötig durchgeführt wurde und von einer Übersetzung in diese beiden Sprachen ausgeschlossen werden sollte. Ich habe es zurückgeschickt, und das alles dank Amazon und ihnen für alles.
