Dimmable 5W 2.5in Recessed COB LED Downlight, 3000K Warm White Ceiling Light with Driver

This light is able to turn down the reds to more blue spectrum perfect for a reef tank. The customer can set it to the level they like. I personally like less blue more natural light look. The anemones and macro algae have been doing fine under it. I have noticed that the macro algae is really taking off, so I have good growth. Light is solid and very well built . The only negative that kept me from giving it a five star is the cord. The cord is really short and light weight. Most Led light boxes I have bought in the past the cord measured 6.5 feet and a much thicker substantial cord. Since many of us have to put our cords onto a surge protector power strip the short cord was annoying. How I handled that was used an old cord from a past buy.

I purchased two 1200-watt versions two years ago. They produced some fabulous internodal spacing, big fat Sticky Buds!!I'm going to use this dimmable 600 in a 2 foot by 2 foot by 5 foot grow tent in a scrog method. I'll update in about 4 months.

Specs say 2.55 inch opening. No one makes a 2.55 inch hole saw, so you use a 2.50 inch. However, you have to use a file or rasp to remove a groove approximately 1/8" deep and 3/4" wide on opposite sides of the hole for insertion clearance for the hold-down arms and springs. The power wires for the driver are ridiculously fine, too short, and do not have enough insulation removed for easy attachment to the feed line. And, no instructions of any kind, but particularly for installing multiple lights on same 100v feed. It would take so little to make this a 5 star item: make the light size small enough so only a 2.5" hole saw would be required, double the gauge of the power wires, and strip at least 1/2" of insulation from the power wires.

Great Vegetation Light. Not high par won’t burn plants. Can grow close to glass. The dimmer is also a great function for smaller/young plants or seedlings.

Works Great in ryte conditions and area coverage . covers 5x5ft coverage area At 2 ft height above crop (veg) , 4×4ft coverage area At 1ft above crop (flower) . thats just my opinion and preference . plan on buying 2 more ..
