Antiqued Mirror
I thrifted an old mirror and used a technique to remove some of the mirrored part from the glass to make it look antiqued. I accidently did more than I intended. This spray paint saved me! In my picture, the cloudy parts are the spray paint essentially on plain glass (any inconsistencies are from the original mirroring) . The more reflective parts are the original mirroring so you can get an idea of the difference between the two. Came out how I was hoping! Not totally a mirror reflection, but perfect for what I wanted. Great product!

Used this on multiple projects, very happy with it
I have used this on multiple projects. I think depending on your expectations, it works quite well. I used it to make mercury glass out of some clear glass in a buffet I purchased (I didn't want to be able to see through). That is the first picture For that effect: Mixed half vinegar and water and sprayed on the glass (behind the glass) and let it bead up for about 4 minutes Sprayed Wait about 10 minutes and gently tissue off water Repeat (depending on how thick you want it and how much of the black you want to show through) Spray back with black spray paint For my built-in that had horrible dated amber glass (but the glass was a PAIN to remove and I didn't want to deal with it) sprayed the back of the glass with black spray paint sprayed the front with 50/50 vinegar mix wait to bead spray front with glass let dry about 10 minutes and gently tissue off repeat glass step (depending on how glassy you want it to look) clear coat spray paint on front General tips it looks better painted on the back of glass but it's not always an option a clear or top coat helps OR paint final layer black makes it shinier on the other side of the glass probably generally works better if you're trying to make something that looks vintage and not perfect. Fun thing to have around for up-cycling old vases and such.

Good if You Keep Your Expectations Realistic
The Rust-Oleum 301494 Specialty Mirror Spray is a good option if you're trying to lessen the effects of desilvering of mirrors. Desilvering - or the appearance of black spots - happens when the reflective metallic backing on the rear of the glass erodes due to trapped moisture, humidity, or harsh cleaning chemicals. Because the damage occurs behind the glass, you cannot clean or wipe them away from the front. The Rust-Oleum Mirror Spray helped minimize the look of the spots, but does not perfectly match the silvering on mirrors. It was very easy to apply, dried very quickly, and made my mirrors look much better than they started off. The spray goes on very cleanly and covers the glass effectively. As far as durability goes, I've only had the mirror fixed for about a month now, and I haven't seen any signs of degradation. Overall, while this will not replace getting an entirely new mirror, the Rust-Oleum spray paint did a good enough job of hiding old black spots that I would recommend it to people who don't want to invest in a new mirror, but wants to minimize the appearance of the black spots. Like all spray paints, use in a well-ventilated area and lay down some drop cloths because the silver spray may look great on your mirrors, but won't look as pretty on your floors.

It really works!
It really works! Make sure to follow the directions on the can exactly how it tells you and you won't be disappointed. YouTube and TikTok have a tons of videos if you have questions before you buy.

Disappointed
Tiny can and wasn't very effective. Looked more like a super shiny silver.

Reall cool spray paint with a mirror finish
This year I wanted to try making DIY antique mercury glass ornaments for my tree. These require a mirror-finish silver paint to spray inside of a glass ball ornament, along with other paints. This stuff is crazy hard to find around Christmas time, so I was happy that I was able to find it in time. I was not too thrilled at the cost of this type of paint, but nothing else would work in its place. The shipping was fast, so that I was able to get them made in time to hang on the tree! And they are gorgeous!

VERY UNPREDICTABLE & not returnable
Have a small antique wall mirror that was yellowed and blemished. Actual re-silvering involved shipping out of state, and very expensive. So I bought 2 cans of this mirror paint. Practiced on a similar (but not old) piece of glass. Not great but I thought it acceptable. (Saw that the glass cleaner actually showed streaks, so on the old mirror I cleaned it and then wiped the cleaner itself off with a clean wet cloth and dried. No streaks.) BUT, THE BIGGEST PROBLEM is that the paint itself doesn't come out in a nice steady fan. It was an inconsistent, splotchy volume of spray. The first few sprays in a new can was better... but on the actual project I did the first thin coat of spray with the partially used first can, and no matter now many light coats I applied, that first uneven coat was evident. (SO IF YOU DECIDE TO TRY, USE A BRAND-NEW CAN FOR YOUR FIRST COATS - don't use the second half of your practice can for your first coat on the actual project) Yes, I followed directions, shook the cans very well before and during applications, etc. FINAL RESULT: my antique glass is ruined... well, maybe I can remove the paint, but then what? Don't want to try the same product twice. Could have a brand-new mirror cut to fit this unique frame. Will cost over $150, and I won't have the primitive design that someone hand-etched years ago. Disappointed.

Gives Glass window panes an old antique mirror look
I rent a studio cottage and share the land with my landlord and they are always wanting more privacy and of course I always like my privacy too so, I bought some old single pane windows and I sprayed the mirror finish on the clear glass and then I sprayed black over the back of it. I didn't do very good on the first window It ran quite a bit and it looks obvious but, it also creates kind of a nice old antique patina to it. The other windows turn out better but, the mirror is not a vibrant mirror like you would have in your bathroom but it does give an old look to it.

Fake product
Don't buy it, fake product. Not same size of the original one, much smaller, fake branding, and used.
