Perfert direct replacement fit
Works great. The only difference with the new receiver, is that I used to reverse direction when the fan was off; whereas, with the replacement receiver, reverse only works when the fan is running.

Best suitable option as an aftermarket replacement!
The original fan receiver/switching unit failed. It was burnt and obviously had overheated. Repair was made to a 68" Altura,(home design) made with harbor breeze components. The original unit was rated at 190 watts. In a normal sized fan that would be ok, with the bigger fan blades there is obviously more current draw. The FAN2 replacement reciever/switching unit is rated at 300 watts and is the proper size to accommodate larger current draw with bigger fans. Easy installation, requires removal of the inner brackets in your fan to allow for space of the slightly bigger receiver. The FAN2 component is about 1/4" larger diameter and is a tight fit, but simple to connect. The second modification required for my installation was the lighting wires need to have dual male ends for quick connection to harbor breeze fans. The FAN2 has 1 male and 1 female. I cut the correct connector from the old unit and spliced it's connector onto the new unit. Plugged and played! 5 star review for a solid product!

Not a perfect match
Was not the exact match for item but it worked. The only problem is with the original remote I have to search for it to connect with the new unit.

It was so easy to replace
Didn't have my fan working for several years. Didn't know that was the part I needed. Now I have my lights that dim and my fan. The remote was never the issue!!!

Anderic Replacement FAN2R Ceiling fan Receiver
I installed the new fan receiver. It works fine when I turn the light on. However when I turn the fan light off I need to be 2 to 3 feet away from the fan for the light to go out. Not what I expected. I did not purchase the remote from this company. It is the original remote. I don't know if it is a compatibility issue or not. If it is Anderic should at least warn people when they purchase the receiver unit. No such warning was given. I would not recommend this product.
