Another great product from Team Wurkkos. If you are looking for a tailswitch operated, simple user interface, 18650 burner, then take a serious look at the TD02. The first thing I noticed was the subdued anodizing and the aggressive looking ribbing (knurling). They give the TD02 a tactical appearance and the ribbing provides a solid purchase area while using the tailswitch. All threads where smooth operating. The tailswitch requires a firm press to turn on and off, however it is sensitive when changing modes. Speaking of modes, you will find these very easy to select. I'm a huge fan of the more advanced user interfaces and the fun one can have discovering their many modes, however I prefer a simple interface for a tactical flashlight. The beam has a very defined spot and fair anount of flood. The temperature is very cool and I didn't notice any flickering of the intensity. The TD02 is packaged with a 3000mah18650 battery, pocket clip, lanyard, two spare orings, instructions, and a USB A to C charge cable. When I first operated the TD02, I was thinking, why not an e-switch? After operating the tailswitch, I realized that would not have been ideal on a tactical flashlight and that the more positive on/off of a traditional "clicky" tailswitch was the right choice. I would highly recommend the TD02 to anyone looking for a high quality, moderately priced, simple to operate flashlight.

I recently evaluated the Wurkkos TD02 LED Flashlight, and it exceeded my expectations. Despite its affordable price, this flashlight packs a punch. The brightness in Turbo does not appear to meet the claimed lumens, but it is still quite bright. However, the run times exceeded the advertised claims by at least 20%-35%, and the stepdowns in brightness are on par with comparable flashlights. The Total Internal Reflection (TIR) lens paired with the Luminus SST40 LED provides impressive brightness. A hardened glass lens cover protects the SST40, and the body is made using heat-treated aluminum alloy for long-term strength. The included 3000mAh Li-ion 18650 rechargeable battery is efficient, and the Type-C USB charging is convenient with a secure rubber plug. The onboard charging rate measured was around 1.5A, with charging terminating around 4.18V (± 0.02V). The light's User Interface (UI) is simple to use, with a rear tactical switch controlling all six modes (including strobe) plus mode memory to power on the light in the same mode it was last used. The knurling on the tube offers a secure grip; however, the clip is just the standard single-direction type. I would have liked to see it come with a reversible hat-belt clip. The light's build quality is excellent, having an IPX8 rating, made from 6061-grade aluminum alloy, and the rear battery cap is easy to remove to swap out batteries if needed. However, unlike the TD03 and TD04, which have a momentary switch in the tail cap, the TD02 just features mode changes and on/off functions. Overall, the Wurkkos TD02 is an impressive budget light that delivers exceptional performance. flashlight has great degrees of flood and real beam distance is 80-120m, which is great maybe for defense (but its easy to mess with power options while clicking desperately on switch and I dont know why it dont has programable switch... ) but lacks distance for hunting reasons(so i bought L21b deep red light). still it has really small body, is lightweight, has both springs: on tail and on PCB side(so it is recoil friendly, I checked it on ar15), has tail switch, has direct type-C port = 4.5star

Been grabbing a few lights to give as gifts this Christmas and keep going back to Wurkkos. High build quality, very nice price, and their lights have been very reliable based on my experience. I'm kinda weak with the flashlight nerd jargon, so I'll stick to normal people words. Just an FYI, I primarily use flashlights as a technician, for basic EDC tasks, household & vehicle repairs, and of course emergency backup. Some camping thrown in, but not specifically as an outdoor tool. I prefer lights with non-proprietary charging, simple operation, and I especially want replaceable cells. That being said, this light ticks those boxes and looks like a winner. Planned on gifting it to one of my students, but I might keep this and gift one of my other lights. Dunno yet. Build quality is typical of Wurkkos, meaning good to very good fit and finish. Aluminum is pretty thick and feel substantial, texture/grooves are deep and solid feeling. Not likely to have this slip out of hand. First impression of the anodization is that it's high quality. Didn't go at it with a knife or anything, but simple handling and disassembly didn't result in scratches, so that's a plus. Tail button feels solid, both in terms of the switch itself and the rubber cover. Can't speak to long term durability of the light since I just got this, but I've been happy with Wurkkos lights in the past and there are no red flags here. Don't know who Wurkkos gets their batteries from, but my experience is that they're pretty good quality 18650 cells in terms of output, capacity, and longevity. This one looks identical to the other ones I have so I expect the same. Button top cell included and I slipped in a flat top and it worked fine as well. On-board USB-C is nice and the cover fits over the port solidly. Built-in LED battery level indicator is a nice to have feature. Light color is very white. This is my preference. Don't like lights with on overly yellow or blue tint. Four of the five light levels plus "Turbo" are distinct enough that they're all useful. Two in the middle are basically the same. UI is straightforward, just click to turn on or off, half clicks to cycle through levels and a double half click to go into strobe. That last one is a little fiddly, but I almost never use strobe, so there's that. Beam pattern is more spot than flood. Spot is about 2' wide about 10 feet out with a lot of spill outward. This meshes with how I work so that's nice. Pocket clip is a pocket clip and the middle portion of the light can be unscrewed and flipped around if you want the clip pointed the other way. Overall a good to very good light, full stop. Factoring in the price at $20 and it veers towards a great EDC light. Might find something as good in this price range, but I doubt you'll find anything better

The TD02 is designed to be used in an overhand grip and has a tail switch for thumb operation and ridging along the sides for maximum grip. It's a convenient size to fit in a pocket or bag, and has a sturdy clip and reversible barrel. The UI is straightforward -- you click to turn it on, or tap on the switch to change brightness. Two taps puts it in a strobe mode that is meant to disorient would-be attackers. While there are brighter lights, between 1000lm and 2000lm is all you'll reasonably need for most use cases. At its brightest, this lit up my backyard. For up-close tasks, there are several stepped brightness levels. All of my Wurkkos lights are high-quality and have a great finish. The threads on the end caps are clean, and each end has a lubricated O-ring. The barrel in the middle is reversible so the light can be attached to a hat brim and used as a headlight. The weight is similar to my other lights, as most of the heft comes from the 18650 battery. USB-C charging is a huge plus for this light, as 18650 batteries require special chargers. I own a charger, and checked the voltage on the battery, and saw that it was shipped charged. All of my Wurkkos lights' batteries are high quality. Wurkkos lights are always a great value, and each one fits a useful niche. This is a really excellent EDC-sized light with tactical features.

Honest review of free product provided by Wurkkos. Wurkkos is one of the top Flashlight brands when it comes to value and performance. With a price averaging around $20 (watch for sales and coupons) including the 18650 size battery , the TD02 is hard to beat. This light is solid, well built, and feels good in hand. It has a high quality SST-40 LED in a cool white 6000+ Kelvin temperature rating. It is very White and Bright! The Beam profile is tight with a nice hot spot and has good spill to light up around the edges. The TD02 is considered a Tactical Style light which generally means it has a tail switch, a simple user interface, and an intense Strobe mode. The strobe is intended to disorient someone (who has bad intent) with the flashing blinding light giving you enough time to run away. Testing it in the house, it certainly does blind and disorient ! The operation of this light is pretty straight forward. Fully press the tail switch to turn On or Off. Half press to cycle through the 5 brightness levels. When On, press twice to access Strobe mode. This light has on board USB C battery charging which is very convenient. It does not however have reverse charging meaning it cannot be used as a power bank to charge your cell phone. Not a deal breaker, but something to consider if that is important to you. The TD02 has a charging status light that also functions as a battery indicator light which gives you a general idea of how much battery power is remaining. It shows for 5 seconds when you turn on the light showing Green, Red, and flashing Red. If you are looking for a Tactical style Flashlight with great performance and a good value you can’t go wrong with the TD02. Thumbs Up !
