M.2 NVME SATA Enclosure

Love this thing! Great quality, did an M.2 hard drive recovery for a buddy, and he asked if he could buy it for his old PC hard drive, so he could access it as a backup. He loves how it works, and the extra cable design was a really nice touch. Solid construction and design, small and portable, and worked with the Gen3/4 drives I plugged into it! We got all of the data we needed, and it is still working great! You won't be sorry buying this. It's a fantastic little device, for the money!

I recently bought a replacement M.2 SATA SSD for my new Lenovo X1 Carbon, as it came with a rather restrictive 256 GB Samsung stick. The X1 is now rocking a 2TB WD M.2 stick, so I ordered this Benfei shell and installed the Samsung M.2 into it for external storage. It's working great! There was one small hold-up in putting this into practice, but it had nothing to do with this enclosure. The issue was in order to use the Samsung for storage I needed to wipe the drive and then format it, but once the drive was clean, "Disk Management" in Windows 10 didn't recognize the drive until I figured out how to initialize it. One YouTube video later the Samsung was like brand-new and I had it formatted and it's working like a charm. Easy-peazy, and the price is great!

With both a USB-A & USB-C connector, this is a versatile adapter. PLUS the USB-C connector works BOTH WAYS -- other USB-C devices work at full speed when connector is inserted one way but default to slow USB-2 speed when connector is flipped 180 degree. Installation of the SSD is the easiest I have seen and can accommodate different size without the need of a tool. You need a screw driver to unlock the metal cover -- I wish they'd thought of a better solution making it truly "tool-free" installation

These are about as perfect as they get. A single screw to keep the enclosure together, USB-A/USB-C connectivity and they come with a thermal pad. I've been replacing some smaller capacity NVMe drives with larger ones as the costs have been coming down, so I own three of these to be able to continue using them. Just a solid, practical design. Yes, they are a little chonky compared to others, but others do not have the cable+adapters built in either. If you need an enclosure for an NVMe, get this. No fumbling with extra cables or anything. "They just work" and that's pretty rare.

Had it about a year now. Outer case will get a little warm while using but has never overheated on me. It has worked good so far with solid data transfer speeds, nothing special though.

Needed this because my laptop took a dump on me. My son was one who recommend this to me. I was worried it wouldn't be easy to use but for a beginner, you just pop the screw out (came with one even!!), slide the hard drive into it pop the screw back in, plug it into another computer and bam! I had files I was afraid to lose but was a breeze to connect everything to my new laptop. Doesn't over heat, performance is top notch!! Value was spot on saving me the frustration of losing everything!

Built in cable is great. This case is nice and metallic, but a little light for my preference. However, for me the big deal was it was able to recover a WD Black 2280 SSD that my two Orico enclosures could not expose to Windows or Linux. Definitely going to keep ones of these around, not sure if it was a controller issue or what, but it's easy to swap and does the job.

Snabb och bra allt fungerade utan några problem. Formaterade m.2 enheten och allt fungerade. Mycket smidigt med inbyggd usb sladd.

I ordered this to use with an old nvme drive I was replacing for more storage in my pc. Very simple setup, open it up, place nvme drive, place thermal pad and slide it all into place, fasten a screw and voila! You have a super fast portable nvme drive. It's absolutely brilliant for the price. The addition of a combo usb a / usb c wire, that on top of being a combo easily is hidden along the side of the enclosure, is very very nice. Makes it so I can connect to any pc effortlessly. All in all a top product!

Actually bought two of these so I could take my desktop's SSDs with me when I travel. Works perfectly for that purpose. No tool installation -- just open it up, put in the SSD and it clips securely in by itself. The built-in USB-A and USB-C connectors means never forgetting to bring the cable with you, but does limit the distance the drive can be from the host computer as the built-in cables are very short (2-3").
