These sensors are game changers
These Mopeka sensors work well and add a new level of convenience to monitoring propane levels. There was a period where this new Universal model was incompatible with the Victron Cerbo GX, but I am happy to report that this situation has been resolved. I can check the levels using the Mopeka app; and they now show up on the Cerbo as well. How far we've come from having to pop open the propane compartment and look at a gauge that may or may not be accurate. A few installation tips: — The process is very easy; however, you will be asked to position the sensor so its position appears inside a little circle that shows in the Mopeka app. I've never seen anyone successfully do this, either in person or in a YouTube video. It seems like the best one can expect is for the position indicator to be touching the little circle. Don't sweat this. Everything will still work. I ended up using a ruler to position the sensor. — My least favorite thing about this product is the fact that there is nothing to hold it in the spot that you've so carefully measured out. The sensor has pretty powerful magnets to hold it to the tank, but once you lube it up with dielectric grease it will slide around on the tank's surface. Annoying. Mopeka does offer a collar that can be stuck on the bottom of your LPG tank with 3M VHB tape to lock the sensor into position. This is what I have done. (The company makes two different collars. Make sure you get the one for LPG tanks.) — These sensors come with three little aluminum spacers designed to clip to the bottom of your tank in order to provide extra clearance. You may or may not need them. I did. These spacers can come loose. I would suggest using an adhesive/sealant to lock them in place. Also, these will definitely scratch up whatever the tank is sitting on. — For those needing spacers but not wanting to scratch up their propane tank compartment, Mopeka offers the "Halo", a plastic ring that goes on the bottom of your tank. These will also need to be attached with an adhesive/sealant if you want them to stay on. Unfortunately, these Halos offer less additional clearance compared to the free aluminum spacers. If you choose to use the collar I mentioned earlier, the Halos probably won't work for you. They didn't for me. Seems like this is something that Mopeka should have been able to anticipate. — Keep in mind that these spacers protect your Pro Check sensor when it's sitting on a flat surface. The teenage kid filling your tank can still set the tank down on an uneven surface or a rock and crush it. And if this kid drags the tank on the ground and knocks off one of the spacers, the sensor could get damaged on a flat surface. Bottom line: pay attention when someone else is handling your LPG tank. I'm tempted to deduct a star due to the incompatibility between the Mopeka Halos and the collars but this is a review of the sensor itself, so I won't. These sensors are game changers. I love them and I recommend these as the best solution for anyone with a propane tank they want to monitor. Five stars.

does exactly what I need it to do...very accurate for our propane tank levels
easy to set up...works great...app is very accurate...we use the recommended ring for bottom of tank to raise it off the ground.... do think the sensor is a bit pricey however

Reliable and easy to use sensors
I am very pleased with these sensors. They seem to work well, and are easily swapped between tanks. I recommend buying separately a tube of conductive grease to use with them. The grease sold by the sensor vendor is overpriced.

These sensors work well
I have tried every sensor this company has and none of them work. The iphone app does not read anything but "Empty." My tanks were just filled at the hardware store so I know they are full. I also have a small reader with lights and it also read "empty." I have used dielectric grease and have moved the sensors n the bottom of the tank around to different locations in the center of the tank bottom. All readings: "Empty." So as far as I am concerned these do not work. I have 2 30 gal tanks on my RV. UPDATE: and speaking with the representatives from the company, who were very conscientious and honest, I found that the problem was mine. The tanks that I have have a thick paint coating, which is inhibiting the signal. So the sensors are fine. And they do their job. I had to alter the paint coating on the bottom of my tank in order to get the sensors to work.

Great product for accurately measuring propane levels
Awesome product!! Easy to install and setup. Very accurate regarding the measurement of how much propane is left in the tank. Doesn't vary widely like the pressure gauges as the Mopeka measures actual volume and not pressure. Pressure is GREATLY affected by temperate and volume is not. Must have if you want to know how much propane you have left.

Don't buy JUNK
Contacted customer service the responded once a couple of days later only to ask a question. I answered it and they never responded. Couldn't get the thing to level after multiple attempts. Tank ran out of propane while the item read 17%. Left. The tank ran out and it was on a good trailer in the middle of a service. It cost my business money to be down while I went to get more propane. These do not work. I am extremely disappointed. I will be returning.

Fast and easy set-up. Great accuracy.
This was easy to set-up using the app and has good range using Bluetooth. I tried it on 3 different 20lb cylinders of known quantity of LPG and it read them all accurately. It sticks to the bottom fairly well, but they are rounded so it takes a few seconds to center the sensor. For my use they adhere well enough. I would not be so liberal with the grease, it only needs a dab on the sensor. This should help with movement once centered. As for replacement Mopeka grease you can buy some here on Amazon, or any silicone dielectric grease works perfect. It is the same. I am overall very pleased with this device. It is not cheap, but it's accurate and does the job well. I wasted a lot of money on inaccurate inline gauges and a scale device. The scale does work, but requires disconnection and lifting of the cylinder, and can't give you a real-time reading. Now I know at a glance where I stand gas wise.

Great propane level sensors.
I waited a few weeks to get used to using these tank sensors before submitting a review. I’mI couldn’t be happier with them. We live in our motor home and I use 2 30 lb tanks linked together to heat, cook and for hot water. No longer do I have to worry about running out of propane in the middle of the night nor do I have to go outside in the cold and lift the tanks and guess how much propane is left in each one. I just open the app on my phone and get an extremely accurate measurement of how much propane is left in each tank. When installing the sensor on the tank it is important to use the dilectric grease that comes with them and to visually sight that you have put the sensor in the center of the tank as close as possible. It is also very important to make sure that the tank is properly level or it will affect your sensor position reading in the app. I use wood shims to level my tanks. I highly recommend these sensors if you want quick and accurate readings of your propane levels.

no more worries
This is a small but very useful bit of kit. Isn't it everyone's nightmare guessing how much gas you have left. Not anymore once set up on your bottle it links to your phone via Bluetooth and tells you the exact percentage left. Has made a trips alot less stressful.

Staying warm in a blizard
Unless you have serious age or handicap issues, this product for an RV is just a very nice gadget. The propane tanks on almost all RVs will do quite nicely with a much cheaper gauge installed where your propane hose connects to the tank. For a home or condo installation where the primary use is in winter for a fireplace or heating, it's quite another story.. When the cold and the snow piles up and your tank is accessible enough for deliveries but really inconvenient for regular monitoring of the fuel level . This unit can make your life dramatically easier..Here in Quebec there are thousands of tanks against the outside walls of homes and multistory condos. While the tanks need to be accessible enough for deliveries, most are a significant inconvenience to read the in-tank gauge on a regular basis. Being able to read the tank level from inside in winter weather is worth double the price of these units. HOWEVER, they have a major drawback. Battery life. Yes they have greatly improved it since I bought my first one, but cold weather kills even the best battery . You'll be very lucky if the 3vdc CR2032 battery in the unit makes it through the winter. (I went through a number of winter failures.) There is a solution which Mopeka has refused to adopt. I soldered a two wire line (AWG20) to the battery terminals, ran the wire out the unit vent hole, through my house wall and inside where I attached two 1.5v batteries in series in a holder (3vdc). The indoor battery pack is in parallel with the 2032 battery in the unit. . This keeps the unit running for years even in -40 temps . If the batteries ever do fail, it is a piece of cake to replace them INSIDE, without diving under the snow in freezing weather. With this arrangement I consider this product indispensable. I even bought a spare just in case, although my present unit has lasted many winters already. If you would like to do a similar setup. Popping the cover off to replace the battery is simple, a small flat screwdriver in the slots will do the trick but be careful soldering the wires to the battery terminals. Remove the battery first. It will act as a heat sink requiring more solder heat and possibly damaging the unit. Also it could explode when applying the solder heat. Before attempting the solder joint, make sure your soldering iron is at full heat and will instantly melt the solder when applied to the wire and contacts. The heat should be for only for five or so seconds or you can damage the circuitry. Good luck and let your cell phone check your tank in the next blizzard.

The Best Tank Sensor I’ve Found So Far
After trying several gas level devices for my motorhome, I’ve finally found the ideal system. It’s reliable, easy to use, and you can check it from inside the motorhome without having to access the area where the gas cylinder is stored. I’ve only been using it for a couple of months, but I would definitely buy it again

Great product.
These Mopeka sensors work beautifully on the 20 lb tanks on my RV. I initially only purchased one, but after using it I got a second one for the other tank. Installation is simple. They are held in place with magnets. You just have to apply the provided gel to the sensor. The app assists you with level placement of the sensor. I also purchased rubber rings for the base of each tank so I can't comment on the provided metal spacers. I didn't use them. Bluetooth range is very good with the rings installed - 30ish feet. If you're installing two sensors, name your tanks and your Mopeka sensors so you can keep track of them at refill time.
