Booq Boa Nerve Backpack for Laptop - Graphite

I had really high expectations for this bag, based on the reviews, the description and its high price. With high prices come high expectations!The bag is really sturdy and you can see the good quality of materials overall. As a messenger bag it certainly excels in comfort of carrying and interior space. The laptop padded compartment really doesn't have much padding on the back, and the front of the compartment seems to have only a piece of hard cardboard as a protection, so this could be improved.I have now carried this bag on business trips to 3 different continents and 8 different countries, and it still looks as if it just came out of the wrapping. It's carried a lot of gear at once, including a MacBook Pro, iPad, large 20,000 mA battery, laptop charger, headphone's amplifier, headphones, cables, books, notebooks and all sort of little accessories, without a problem.Two problems, one minor and one major (at least for me). Minor problem is that the bag never really stand straight, and tends to roll over to the front side. Not a big thing, but annoying. Major problem for me is the small, unpadded, almost inexistent handle. I do understand this is a messenger bag, but at some point you will have to carry it in one hand, grabbing it by the handle. Well, the handle is a stripe of nylon attached to the back of the bag, hurting your hand if the bag is carrying anything more than a piece of clothing and making it very uncomfortable, not to mention the fact that the positioning of the handle tips the bag, making it hit your legs as you walk. This is the one thing for which I would not buy it again, and why I am actively looking for an alternative. Had Booq added a nice padded comfortable to grip handle and I would be totally happy, even with any other minor annoyances.

It's a lovely bag, but it won't give you more than a year of service. I've had my first one replaced, within the warranty period and my second has failed within none months of the replacement turning up.If you want to read what's good, see the other reviews. But the bad is the clasp on the front; the magnetic clasp will disintegrate, the magnets will fall out, and then the clasp won't work. Oh, and the paint will chip away, so then the bag looks cheap.Secondly, the underside will start to fray. This will expose the lining of the inside of the bag, and will let water in or whatever. Plus the pouch on the back, the zippers on the underside will slowly slide open, you won't notice, and you'll lose things on the way back from your daily commute...There appears to be better bags, for less money... So if you want one that's going to stand the test of time, this isn't it.

Absolutely love this bag. Has been great to use for school and work! Its versatile with so many pockets and love the colour inside them to make it easy to find cables and small things. Use it on my daily cycle to school as well as heading to work meetings.Bought this after my previous Booq Suitcase style laptop case broke after 7 years of use. So I am hopeful this will show me the same happy years of use!

Brilliant bag.My only criticism is the magnetic catch is easy to undo when you don't mean to.Lots of pockets and places to stash things. Quality product, would recommend.

The quality is very apparent when you received your bag, my bag. It arrived. The other 3 reviews on here was done by the same persons, so a no brainier to think otherwise. If i was to look back and compare other brands: Crumpler, Timbuk2, Mandarina, Eastpack then I would say it was better quality than Crumpler and in the order I have listed. Design: It is not as spacious on the inside as some of the other brands if you are comparing like for like. Crumpler special edition and Booq Boa Nerve are almost like for like, however styling sets them apart. I liked the materials used on Booq Boa bag. It is liken to quality on car safety PPE. The pockets are designed for specific tools in mind: Mobile phone, laptop, smart pens etc unless the same set of tool are not brought into mind in Crumpler or other makes messenger bad. Overall, good quality materials and more expensive than the rest of the other brands.
