Works better than expected
Short story: I plugged it in, and it worked perfectly. Continue reading for the whole story: I found this model because it was priced in what I considered "the upper side of the bottom end" compared to most popular name brands, most of which come in at over $100, some over $200. I only plan to use it occasionally, not make a living with it if you know what I mean. I kept coming back to it. Honestly, I think it was because of the orange color, but maybe it was because it had the best review to price point; I still haven't been able to confirm which. Then it came, and I unboxed it, and the instructions were right on top. All 16 pages of them! This is by far the absolute best set of instructions I've ever received for anything I've ever bought on Amazon! Unfortunately, or fortunately, I guess, I only really needed 2-3 of them. And "need" isn't really the correct word, nor were the instruction pages I used actually for the capture device; they actually have the setup procedures for both OBS Studio and POTS Player with screenshots, so that's a huge bonus for anyone not an expert user of those software packages. I've been using it for a week straight now, and I'm still smiling. Great price, check, plug and play, check, provided the advertised resolutions and sound quality, check check, good instructions (including screenshots, proper English, wiring diagrams, troubleshooting steps, contact info), check, check, and check. Speaking of contact info, I DID NOT attempt to contact them. There was no need to, but given the care put into the instructions, I suspect they'd reply promptly. If you read this far, this is the capture card you want to buy.

Great for this price point!
I'm hands down, Shocked with the quality of this Capture Card with it being at this price point. I needed to replace my old one that a friend stole from me, and since funds are kind of tight right now I couldn't get what I truly wanted to but was interested in giving this a chance since it had so many good reviews. I'll start by saying that's it's true, this is a good product for beginners, it's very straight forward to use. If you can plug a webcam into your device then you can use this with no problems, you don't need to have experience with video capture devices or extensive technical expertise to understand how to use it. All you have to do is plug it in via USB to your computer and it will acknowledge it as if you plugged in a webcam. Then whatever platform you are using you'll be able to use this as long as they acknowledge webcams. (Such as Facebook Live, YouTube, TikTok, Video Conferencing and any other Live Streaming platforms you like.) For this price point I truly didn't think I would like it as much as I do, the gaming experience is very smooth and there's no noticeable lag time during the recordings. The video's are sharp, with a high quality.

Easy to use, and it works.
It works really well. I use it with OBS. I have one PC streaming Pro Presenter to my streaming PC using this. This way the person controlling the slides doesn't have to worry about what I am streaming. They can focus on the presenter while I change between camera, this feed, audio from band/mixer, and anything else I need to direct on stream feed while live. There is a method to my madness, yet everyone can focus on what they need to be doing to feed info to me directing the stream while they worry about everyone sitting in room viewing presentation live in person.

Not Bad At All
Read carefully before you buy. It does exactly what it says, I am testing this with a dual PC setup for livestreaming on Streamlabs and Tiktok. If you're fine playing at 1080p 60hz then this is a great capture card to start your journey with. This card can do 4k at 30hz also, but I personally prefer setting it at 1080p 60hz, max out graphical settings with Nvidia DLAA and it will still look good while giving you a major boost in performance. The capture quality is excellent, no loss of quality whatsoever or even lag, however the sound has a slight static on the background, not annoying but it's there, although the sounds captured are actually crispy clear and high quality. Overall it does the job very well, will update on the durability. For the price is an excellent buy.

Better quality and more reliable than my other $200 capture device!
Warning: Sometimes sellers put the expensive chipsets in, get great reviews, and then swap it out for crap, so we'll see if this review stands the test of time. In short: - more compatible with the various HDMI / HDCP standards across game systems and laptops - fewer compression artifacts - more accurate color - plug and play (unlike Elgato) I think that the good chips have gotten cheaper to manufacture, and the no-name brand crapshoots are getting better as a result. Over the last 15 years I've bought several capture devices in the range of $40, $80, and $200+. This is the best so far - which is absolutely mind-boggling - but it's also the newest. I got it on a whim, just to see if something this cheap could be worth it - as I've done every now and then over the years (but always regretted or returned them... until now!) I may buy another this year. If I find that it's been swapped for junk, I'll be sure to update... but I have hope that this really does just work - the good stuff is just cheaper than it used to be all around.

Good for price
Definitely getting what you pay for, not much extra. It's a solid capture card, make sure you have 2 HDMI cables and you might need a longer USB 3.0 cable as the one they give is pretty short. There is some noticeable lag even though this is supposed to have HDMI pass through (about a second or less), but I'm working on figuring out how to fix it. Funnily enough going with their settings actually had more lag than when I was messing with the settings. If you want to stream on Discord, make sure you use the aux cable and connect to the Line In on your computer and use audio monitoring for it to pick up for both you and watchers, without having to set it to "Listen" in the sound control panel.

Not best if you like console PLAYING 2k/4k at 120hz
Passthrough is 4k30. You can run up to 60fps OUT at 1080p. So as soon as you plug your console in, you can run 4k60 but you may have limited functionality. Using my 1080 monitor, I had a full 1080/120 on Series X but PS5 was 1080/60 on my monitors allowance. Once you directly plug your console into your monitor, it should unlock up to 4k120 if your monitor allows it. My 2k monitor allows 1440/120. WITHOUT this card and 1440/60 WITH the card. Never mind streaming. You're basically wasting your money on a higher "quality" monitor if you buy 2k or 4k and also want to use this capture card. There's no basic homework involved. If you're buying this 1080 gameplay, it's an amazing device. I just wanted you all to know it's a kinked waterhose with any monitor higher than 1080p.

Worth the price
Does better than my AverMedia 2 Plus capture card at $170. Would buy again. Use Potplayer if you want to use this to play on your pc without clogging your screen.
