Shipped quick and plugged straight into the XLR plug on my mobility scooter. Red light when charging and green when charged. I ordered the lower amperage output …… because a longer charge time was not a big concern for my situation.Great value!

This is a nice charger for small 24v SLA (sealed lead acid) batteries. The charger I bought and received is for SLA batteries, not for other battery chemistries. When it is charging there is a red LED and after done charging it turns green. I did not measure the exact voltage or current when the LED turns green.Of course, the big question is if it will charge your batteries successfully and not cook them. I hooked it up to two small 12volt SLA batteries in my shop (series) and logged the voltage over time as it was charging (see attached photo). I also measured the current. It’s a 2 amp charger, as advertised. This charger seems to be a constant voltage charger floats the battery at 27.78 volts. This equates to 2.27 volts per cell. It seems every battery manufacturer has slightly different voltages they want for float and even different voltages depending on the battery use. 2.27 volts is a safe float for long term storage.I did not test this charger at high or low temperatures, only at room temperate. SLA batteries due require different voltages at different temperatures and I do not know if this charger will compensate. It’s a solid charger for SLA batteries at a great price.
