Initial impression and test
We bought this tablet for Christmas.First impression: all items arrived ok. I got the 8 gb, 256 gb version with a pen and keyboard. It was surprising to see that the tablet itself did not have a sealed packaging. All three items thrown into an Amazon box. Nothing was damaged. The tablet was ok, not as refined as a MS Surface. But for the price point, understandable. The screen was sharp and that's the best part. Now, the battery life leaves a lot to be desired though. The feature detail page indicates upto 9 hours. The product summary page indicates 6 hours- not sure which is right BUT it definitely does not last that long. Normal surfing, watching Netflix, etc - maybe 3 hours. And that is with the display set at low. The back of the tablet gets hot as well and I can see how the battery will slowly destroy itself as the warranty expires.I am disappointed because I wanted to really like this tablet and even bought a case. Will return. Also, there is no genuine Intel sticker or Microsoft sticker anywhere if that kind of thing bothers you.

Known Battery defect, dangerous and will fail
Outside of return window, one day I looked at this tablet that I'd barely gotten to use yet, and the screen had separated from the rest of the device. I thought it might be cosmetic and ok to continue to use, but I found out via reviews and online searches, that this is caused by a swollen lithium battery, which could explode or cause toxic gases or fire at any point. It needs to be disconnected from the power imediately, and the battery needs removal by a professional. I called around to laptop and phone repair shops (phone repair normally handles tablets) and was told it is a total loss, CHUWI brand products are garbage and cannot be fixed, there is no way to replace the battery. So I basically just threw out $430+ tax. Never trust cheap Chinese brands, as a means of avoiding the higher costs of better brands of devices. I barely got to use this - in part because I realized there was no way to install MS Office onto it and it did not come with it, which I mistakenly based on reviews thought it did - and it was a total waste of money. This happens with a majority of Amazon products I buy - particularly those made in China. In the long run, as much as it is a hardship to handle the higher costs, I would have better spent the money to buy an actual low-to-mid range laptop or better brand tablet for $700ish.So many regrets...Now I have to get to a hazardous waste dump asap as it needs special disposal, and pray it doesn't explode or catch fire before then!I would never trust a CHUWI brand product ever again. One of the worst purchase decisions I've ever made.0 stars.

Tablet and Pen are great for price. Keyboard is defective.
Review is for:CHUWI UBook X 12'', Windows 11, Intel Core i5-10210Y Up to 4GHz, 12GB RAM, 512GB ROM, Bundled with Keyboard & PenKeyboard touchpad was defective on original purchase AND exchange.1/2" bottom and right portion only registers X and Y axis respectively indicating misalignment of grid lines during manufacturing.Fast and responsive.Screen is sharp and bright. Can use at 0-30% brightness in most practical situations. Can charge via USB-C.Loud as hell for a tiny budget tablet.Pen works well.Battery lasts 4.5 to 5 hours on full charge at 0-20% brightness.U-stand makes it easier to pick up and hold than official Surface plane stand.Overall impression is that the Tablet and Pen in this bundle are pretty good for the price. The keyboard, however, leaves something to be desired. Not a deal-braker, but just a little annoying to use and get used to using only part of the touchpad that works. I suspect they use bad generic contractor for the keyboard. I had a KUU LePad, where the keyboard looks remarkably similar. That keyboard shipped bent and the spacebar was not very sensitive. They also exchanged it and while the spacebar worked, it was still bent.

Not complete, manufacturer didn't care enough to assist.
Didn't come with stylus pen points so the pen doesn't work.Asked Amazon who couldn't find the tips for sale. They graciously offered to return the product but I thought that would be over kill surely CHUWI assist.Contacted CHUWI who said they don't sell them and shipping me more would cost about as much as the pen. ThanksThe rest of the product seems fine and as advertised but you get nothing more than a 1 of the whole package didn't work.It should be noted this is hopefully a learning experience for them. I WILL NOT delete this review for any reason. I will update it should status change so others can see any response.
