I purchased the Phomees cushion initially for use in my conservatory because my chair is a bit too deep for me to sit comfortably. I was in search of something that would provide lumbar support as I'm suffering from a sore back at the moment.This cushion did not disappoint. The cover is nice - it's plush and seems durable. In terms of firmness, I would say this is medium-firm with good support - I'm around 85kg and it supports me perfectly well. It always returns to its original shape when I get up. It's got some cooling gel in there. Rather than feeling 'cold' though, this feels comfortable - like it never gets too hot or itchy if I sit for too long, which is what I have had with other cushions before.As an added bonus, it works very well for me when reading in bed. I have quite a firm mattress which is comfortable to sleep on but, due to its firmness, is painful to sit upright on. Using this cushion has significantly improved my posture and comfort during those long reading sessions.On the negative side, it's too thick to use on the dining room chairs or when driving. Basically, it pokes out too much. To their credit, the manufacturer explains it's for deeper seats, so this isn't a problem for me, but I thought I should explain it here to help future buyers.There are two straps on the back and I think they are for securing in place when using this on an office chair. I tried it on my office chair but it was a bit intrusive for my liking, but that's only because of the thickness. When using it and not needing the straps, I've tightened them up so they're not in the way.In short, I'd recommend this cushion for use in an armchair or for reading in bed. I would not recommend it for smaller chairs or for driving. If you're in the market for something like this, you can't go wrong. I'll be getting a second one for the other chair in my conservatory!

Having bought Phomees seat cushion and been amazed I thought I would try their back cushion too.Much like the seat cushion, I wasn’t sure I even needed it. However now I can’t sit without either. They turn even the most ergonomic office chair into a whole other level of comfort.

taken some getting used to , feel like im being pushed off the chair with it pushing me towards front of chair but after sevaral days i have to say its helped and have bought the addition of seat cuchion to go with it .

I have always suffered with back pain and this cushion has been a game changer. I work from home so sitting all day with a bad posture is not great at all.Ever since i’ve been using this, it feels so comfy and i have no pain while i’m working.It’s great that you can buckle it up around the chair and it never moves.Can’t live without it.

Originally ordered as back supports on sofas and chairs I found them too bulky for this. They didn't support the lumbar/ back area as I'd have liked and are more comfortable on the drinks chairs
