Great beginner DAC
I purchased this DAC to use for recording drums, electric guitar and bass and keyboard and microphone to GarageBand on Mac. I have no complaints. It’s very easy to use and set up. You plug it in and it just works.

Decent sounding interface with some issues
Good sized, metal chassis with some heft to it. The controls are nothing special but it is simple to use, has good inputs and outputs, and the sound using my condenser mic was comparable to my behringer that cost 3x this unit. I didn't detect significant noise other than what my mic was picking up from the room at high gain. Two issues:1) The gain is very non-linear. Whereas I use 12-2 o'clock on my behringer, this one needs to be at 3 o'clock or higher, then it gets really loud really fast.2) The mix dial doesn't do anything unless the device is in loop back mode. Without loop back the dial functions as if it is in the center position (input plus daw both heard) regardless of the dial position. This is true of both the headphone and main outs. With loop back enabled the mix dial functions correctly.I returned because of these usability issues.

Stopped Working after one day
The media could not be loaded. So yeah, the item worked great for one recording session. We were able to record and the quality was awesome. However when we came back 2 days after, nothing was working. It’s not the software or the microphone we have. Maybe I messed with the knobs or I don’t have something on but I’m pretty sure I have everything going good. Overall creates good sound, but just stopped working

Worth the money
I definitely noticed a difference, it was worth the money, the sound is clear, it’s easy to set up, it’s a good size and easy to use.

It's not bad if you're trying to save $100-150, but if you can spend $200, buy the FocusRite
I should start by saying I have a FocusRite Scarlett device so I'm a little biased. I got this to see whether the price differential between this cheaper device and the FocusRite is reflected in the quality. And the short answer is: it's not a bad little device, but if you can spare the $200 or so to get a cheapest FocusRite devices, you're better off going that way.The case looks solid enough, but the controls feel a little sticky. It's very compact....and therefore portable if you want to carry it around. The sound quality is surprisingly good. Getting it set up is not a cakewalk though. The manual is basically a fold-out sheet that gives the bare minimum of instructions, so if you're new to the world of DAWs and audio recording, you may struggle. And there's no place to call for Tech Support. And unlike FocusRite which has forums galore, and lots of Q&A posted on the internet where you can find answers to your problems, you're not likely to find similar intel on this device because it doesn't have much adoption. But if you're set on buying a very cheap device that sounds reasonably good, and don't mind being on your own, this device isn't bad.

Plug and play and good connectors, solid feeling
I have an XLR microphone that I used with an old mixing board. THis 2 channel interface lets me use it to record on the PC without hassle. It doesn't necessarily sound any better than some of the mics I have gotten since then (it's nothing special) but now I have another option. Phantom power is an included, switchable feature if your mic needs it.The interface is a little heavier than I thought it would be. It's got a full metal case, so it feels like it would be durable even if I took it out and about, but I don't have any plans for that. The knobs are all plastic and feel basic but with a good amount of resistance to them - they don't feel like cheap, loose knobs. It's easy to adjust them with precision and leave them there.Sound quality is good. I don't detect any noise. I can boost the gain (the knob is a little sensitive, so the resistance comes in handy). It's easy for me to use the USB "printer style" cable connection and record on the PC. I could also bring in a guitar or other instrument since the jacks are XLR and 1/4" dual purpose jacks.A little nitpick, the back panel seems a little dated. There is a manual switch for Micro USB or the USB-B cable to be the power source. And for main outputs (this isn't just an input, though that's what I got it for) it has dual 1/4" jacks and RCA jacks. The RCAs are a little strange feeling in 2023, and USB-C is on just about everything these days - why not here?I am sure that the bigger name brands may offer higher quality and maybe more features. For less money, good enough is sometimes good enough. If what you need is a way to bring in XLR or 1/4" audio devices to a PC for recording with no noise and no hassle, this can be good for you too.

Excellent value and good quality
I wanted to upgrade the sound I use for podcasting and meetings. This interface allows me to use two XLR mics and the sound quality is excellent. I used it for the first time and was able to adjust the gain and volume for an audio capture. Highly recommended.
