Provides a nice green color when soaks into ground. A bag covers my front and back lawns. Best lawn on the block. Good value and easier to have delivered to my door. Saves having to carry myself from store. Scott is a great product and use all their fertilizers.

You just can't beat Scotts

I really like this fall lawn food because it helps my grass get strong roots before winter comes, and it also helps my lawn bounce back after the hot summer days when the grass looked tired and dry. I put it on my wet lawn in the fall, and it was very easy to use with my spreader. It works on all kinds of grass, so I did not have to worry about what kind of grass I have. One big bag covers a lot of ground, which is great for the price because I feel like I get a lot of value for my money. The bag is strong and did not rip or leak, so it held up well. I also like that it is simple to spread and does not need any special steps. My lawn already looks a little greener, and I hope it will be even better in the spring. The only reason I am giving it four stars instead of five is that I wish the bag was a little easier to carry, but that is a small thing. Overall, this is a very good buy if you want an easy way to feed your lawn in the fall and help it get ready for the cold months.

It definitely works. It's a 32-0-10 NPK. So you get a ton of top growth + the lawn thickens up because of tillering. And that 10 represents Potassium, which helps grass with stress + makes it healthier/better able to handle droughts etc etc. (If you apply it when the grass stops actively growing taller, like here in Wisconsin when the soil temps are below 50F, then pretty much all that nitrogen goes into the roots, so they grow deeper. Which is the point of this product. However you can actually just apply it anytime you want, which is what I did. It's early fall here but I put it down when it's still kinda warm out and the soil temperature is still in the 60's, hence with me I got all that top growth) And you DON'T have to water it it in either, which is great.

I've been using Scott's 4 step system for many years and has never let me down. It does what it was designed to do if used properly at least for me in the Northeast.
