From producer Aaron Spelling (TVs Charlies Angels and Starsky and Hutch) comes one of the toughest, action-packed crime-fighting shows of them all: S.W.A.T.. Spun off from The Rookies and fueled by it's signature hit theme song, S.W.A.T. chronicled the covert missions of the LAPD's Special Weapons and Tactics unit, an elite five-man team tackling situations too dangerous for even the police to handle. The show introduced a new breed of hard-as-nails cops to audiences: Lt. Dan Hondo Harrelson (Steve Forrest, Spies Like Us, Mommie Dearest), Officer Jim Street (Robert Urich, TV's Vega$, Spencer For Hire), Sgt. Deacon Kay (Rod Perry), Officer Dominic Luca (Mark Shera, TV's Barnaby Jones), and Officer T.J. McCable (James Coleman).

My dad loves it. He used to watch this all the time, and this is the reason I decided to buy it. He can’t wait to watch it

Interesting old series
This was a fun series. I am a fan of Robert Urich. It was cheaply made which hurt it but it was nice to see the old series. I also like Steve Forest. Anitra Ford is one of the most beautiful women I know and appears twice. Also, early appearances by Loni Andersson and Farah Fawcett. Leonard Goldberg produced, who now produces Blue Bloods.

Great old action show!
Pleasantly surprised at how great this set is. This is a awesome show for just under $12 that I got it for. I love all of the old shows from tv. Their so much better than the crap shown today. That's why I order so many shows off Amazon because I don't even bother to have cable. Also my roommate likes shows like this. The dvd's have the print of the characters and stuff on them. The run time is wrong in the online description. It's actually longer as you can see in my photo. 30 hours and 49 minutes. The set came in great condition and arrived on time. But I'm a prime member so.

I am SO enjoying this!
DVDs appeared new in package, work perfectly, and the show - while originally produced as a serious TV show - is often quite (unintentionally) funny when viewed in 2018: "OMG did we DRESS like that and TALK like that in 1975?!" (afraid so). Compared with the over-the-top SWAT vehicle in the 2017 series, the 1975 vehicle looks like a UPS truck (no offense, it's just amusing to see). The SWAT gear includes baseball-type caps (no helmets) and what appear to be (by 2018 standards) baseball catcher's chest protectors. That aside, tghe show itself is enjoyable, I enjoy watching the actors that make up the SWAT team, as well as other actors and actresses that make guest appearances - from Sal Mineo to Sandry Dey to Phil Silvers!

Had Never Seen SWAT Before
I had never seen this show before but I like Dragnet, Adam12, Rockford Files etc.Mill Creek Entertainment does a great job, the visual and audio quality are top of the line for a 1970s show. The case and discs themselves are also good quality.I gave the show only 3 stars because I didn't care for the subject matter. I watched the first episode and started into a second one but stopped. The SWAT team is obviously going to be dealing with more egregious crimes, but it was appearing as though the criminals were going to be more of the wacko nature. A murder mystery with motive is one thing; but three guys ambushing and killing patrol cops for the delight of it, just wasn't that fun to watch. When I started into the second episode and they said the criminals they were going after had gone into an innocent Christmas party and killed everyone with machetes and bayonets I just didn't think I was going to enjoy what would happen next, so I gave up on the show.Watching the SWAT team save the day, at the end of the episode, was satisfying and the violence isn't real graphic (ketchup stains) but if you don't like psycho criminals than you probably wouldn't like this show.

Quality Good, but it needs an editorial change
The package arrived in good order, and was intact. All tracks were readable. However, DVDs all had the same volume name, so it was difficult to identify which one was mounted on a workstation unless it was viewed, or ejected. The volume names on many competitor DVD publishers are issued indicating season, and which DVD (if multiples in a season).

Ah, the memories...
Ever revisit something you loved as a child and been disappointed? Ever expect to be disappointed that something has aged poorly? Well, I did both and was surprised at how much I wasn't. If you are looking for modern production values and great technical accuracy, look elsewhere, it wasn't here to begin with. But the show aged pretty well, and i didn't spend my time cringing. Great little walk down memory lane. And that theme song!

Corny old tv show but the service was good
Corny old tv show, kind of interesting to view through the lens of modern police violence. thought for the price I might as well check it out. Worth it if you're a huge Robert Urich fan but otherwise I'd pass.
