Skar AudioSingle 10" Sealed Subwoofer Enclosure Compatible with 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab Trucks

The box is pretty good quality, especially for the money. It was easy to install and it looks slick with how compact it is in the installation spot. The box not only looks good but also sounds good in the whole cab of the truck. Very happy with it overall!

I have a 2022 Tacoma double cab. This box dropped right in. I’m telling you… a perfect fit! I bought the box only. I bought the PIONEER TS-A2500LS4 1200 Watt 10"" Shallow Mount 4 Ohm SVC Subwoofer based on an other review here (although I’m sure any good brand speaker works, even the Skar speaker and box combo option), along with the Rockford Fosgate R2-500X1 Prime 500-Watt Mono Amplifier (you need that base knob). Took it to audio shop and had them install for 200 (wires, harness). Beats spending a grand for the only other option out there (box and speaker combo only!) that is made for the passenger back seat compartment that doesn’t require you remove any of the plastics. Bumps nice! Words of advice, buy everything you need online… then just take it to a shop to install (if you don’t know how), cause they’ll just want to over charge you for everything you need.

I installed this behind the back seat on the left side of my 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD OR 4X4. It fits perfectly. I installed a Rockford Fosgate P3SD4-10 Punch P3S 10" 4-Ohm DVC Shallow Subwoofer and it fit perfectly. I have a hooked up to a 600W Alpine subwoofer amplifier. The sound is amazing and there is none of that annoying vibration that you sometimes get. I'm really happy with how good it sounds given the limited amount of space.

I’ll be honest… at first glance, I hated the fact that “SKAR Audio” was displayed largely on the face of this box and really, that’s what kept me at bay for a while looking for other alternatives. Further more, SKAR doesn’t even make a sub to fit into this box, and I wasn’t about to fish out $1k for a jbl equivalent… ridiculous, I know!With only a few minutes, yes, a few minutes of searching on Amazon, I was able to find a 10” sub that would not only fit but also meet my desires when it comes to low end bass. I’ve tried the “subwoofer + amp” combo that you slide under your seat. Please, don’t be fooled. You want to feel it in the chest? You’re not going to with those.With this box + a 10” Pioneer TS-A2500LS4 shallow mount sub combined with a Pioneer GM-D8701 500 watt amp coming in just under a total of $400, I’ve got a really decent sounding system that I am extremely happy with. Long gone are the days of having 2 12’s in my trunk annoying my neighbors every time I drive down our street. While they may not hear me (as much), I still have the same satisfaction of not only hearing the bass, but feeling it as well. This combo kicks hard.There are plenty of other options for shallow mount subs out there that WILL fit this box. A little bit of research, mainly looking for “mounting depth” will yield you some good finds.This is a really great option for those who desire a little more “oomph” in the low end with plenty of head room for more if you so please for your 3rd gen Tacoma. The fit is near perfection and clean. You can install this entire setup without drilling any holes, and keep your Tacoma clean and “factory” as possible with the helpful design of this box.After the install and hearing it for myself, I could really care less what it says on the box.
