This is a no-moving parts gadget. You just adhere it to your RV van rail at one ideal spot using the adhesive supplied. The only tricky part is that you better be sure you locate it where the sliding door suits your purposes. It needs to be a wide enough opening that the stockiest of your fam can set into the RV without contortion. The other key point is that you need to leave the adhesive to 'set' for a couple of days before sliding the door to it or over it.'Once in place this gadget provides you a separate, half-way opening point where the door will stay open, and still permit you to open the door fully where the RV itself will hold it open.Very clever. Probably easy to make a DIY version but it's nice to reward the innovator of what is an elegant solution at low cost.

Does exactly what I bought it for,holds the door open and keeps it there.

I really like this door stop on my Ram Promaster. It has held very well on the track and does a very good job of stopping sliding door movement where it was set. The only drawback is the price but it really does was it is intended to do. With a little extra tug on the door it moves from its locking position on the track. It has worked on all kinds of angles.

Works great. Parking on hills was a concern before installing this. Not anymore.
