Release your natural powers for healing, endurance, and longevity With this revolutionary guide, you will learn four simple and remarkably effective techniques to release your natural powers for healing. The methodsโgentle movement, self-applied massage, breathing exercises, and meditationโare drawn from the ancient Chinese healing system of Qigong (Chi Kung) and are easily adaptable to every lifestyle. You can practice them almost anywhereโin the car, in line at the bank, at your desk, while walking, even in bed. Using these methods for as little as ten minutes a day can dramatically increase your endurance, vitality , and longevity. Self-care has never been so easy! Review: Wonderful! - Easy to read and understand. The illustrations are well designed and easy to follow. Great inspirational book, which encourages you to practice the methods for better quality of life. Review: Read to be healthy and live longer. - There's no question that Jahnke's book can be beneficial to anyone. So many easy exercises are described in the book, including breathing exercises, meditation, visualization, self-healing, and Qigong movements. I especially enjoy doing the flowing motion exercise. Jahnke states that the Chinese people say if you do this exercise 100 times a day you will be healthy for a long time. I enjoy doing it daily. It's fun and I feel I'm really improving my health. I also enjoyed the reflexology described in the book. I enjoy massaging the hands and feet. Certain areas on the hands and feet respond to different organs in the body. He also speaks of the importance of laughter in the healing process. He explains how the Cancer Recovery Society in Shanghai makes laughter top priority in social oncology. Yes, laughter certainly is good medicine and it is reinforced in this book. The book provides examples of ill people who have used various healing methods described in "The Healer Within," and how they benefited from them. Mind/Body Medicine is something we should all be aware of and practice to stay well and live longer. I found this book to be a "gem" and often refer to it. It is filled with wisdom, health benefits and a wealth of healthy exercises. I highly recommend this book! Nancy A. Draper (Author) A Burden of Silence: My Mother's Battle with AIDS

A entire new perspective - for me!
This was a suggested reading from my Tai Chi Easy Instructor. Turns out, the 85-year-old instructor has worked with Dr. Jahnke for over 20 years and has traveled to China with him on 2 trips. What a wonderful local asset. As a professional in the Medical field for over 40 years, as I read the book I said to myself - This should be required reading for all patients, especially for those with Chronic conditions! The concept of not only personal responsibility but the power of self-healing is what is needed in today's complicated healthcare arena. I studied Tai Chi 25 years ago, but fell out of practice trying to learn and practice all the movements. With Tai Chi Easy I have mastered the 9 moves in just 4 weeks. The added benefit of the self massage, breathing techniques and mediation are the icing on the cake. Jahnke not only provides the format, in addition he goes into great detail on the Why and how you profit by self healing. This is a wonderful, enlightening read - Get a copy today and share it with your loved ones and friends.

Great Little Book
A nice short introduction to Qigong. Best for people who are either just getting into the practice of self healing or are too ill to do more advanced techniques. I prefer Jahnke's book "The Healing Power of Qi", even for beginners, but this one is pretty good, too.

Self Healing At Its Best
Since I began reading this book I have bought 2 additional copies for friends and I'm about to buy a 3rd for another friend. This book teaches and encourages the reader to tap into the medicine that we carry within our bodies. Through various techniques we learn the importance of incorporating massage, meditation, breathing and qi gong exercises to energize our system and release our body's own medicine. The author also presents each exercise in a way that even those with very limited mobility can participate. I read from this book daily and practice what I have learned. I'm truly enjoying this journey and I have faith that I will eventually be able to reduce, if not totally eliminate, the various medicines that I am currently using. The author does not suggest that we not follow the doctor's orders. Instead he presents alternatives that have the potential for us to be healed. So if you're interested in self-care and tapping into your own healing abilities, this book is a great guide to get you started.

An important revolutionary book!
So Iโve just started this...only in the first few chapters, but I can honestly say this is one of the most important books Iโve ever read. I have no idea why itโs not more popular or known about. It has revolutionary ideas in it, and sound methods. I have just started to explore Traditional Chinese Medicine, and have explored the fields of medicine, martial arts, and meditation. I donโt know the authors credentials for TCM, but he has obviously adapted what heโs learned to his own ideas and practice. Itโs well written, and gives a flexible guide to setting up your own practice of the methods. Itโs good for both physical and mental disorders. Itโs for both fit and ill people. Really looking forward to recommending it other places.

The name implies that we all have the ability to practice and apply self healing techniques and we can easily learn to cultivate our own healing potential
As a Tai Chi and Qigong teacher who studied under Dr. Jahnke, The Healer Within is my absolute "go to" book. I use it as a continual reference within the practice I teach. The name implies that we all have the ability to practice and apply self healing techniques and we can easily learn to cultivate our own healing potential. I highly recommend this book. It reminds of us of our innate internal healing potential, that we sometimes forget, or don't even know we have. Roger Jahnke is insightful, joyous, focused and used and applied can absolutely help us tap into our own body's healing abilities.

The healer Within
This book is worth a read, there are some important topics discussed, and taken as a part of traditional Chinese martial arts will enrich the whole experience. If you are studying Tai Chi you will be (if you have a good teacher) introduced to some awsome new powers, which everybody has but normally lie dormant and unused. The material in this book helps to harness these powers. Hope you enjoy it. John Crookes.
